Hello. We have sent our Spousal application forms to Mississauga on 1st April. Am Canadian by birth and sponsoring my British husband of +3 years
Both living and working in the UK at the moment, looking forward to going back to Canada for good.
I have been lurking on this forum for a few months so will gladly update on our journey back to Canada :)
Fingers crossed, not too many bumps in the road for everyone x

hello everyone!
i'm almost done with all the documents and sending out my application in next week,

just a couple of questions left
1. how do i choose between inland our Outland option? i think i'll go for outland. but not knowing how?
2.i only have on police check, and i couldn't get the other (from previously resided place). would that be a problem? can i explain it on my application?
3.after i sent my documents can i go back to my country until the decision has made? or it's illegal or my application will not proceed?

thanks in advance and wish you guys best of luck!

Were you filling out the forms for outland or inland?
Or did you do both?

Outland or inland depends upon your situation. If you both are in Canada and have Visa and permit to stay in canada, you can apply inland otherwise apply for outland. I guess outland is faster then inland (depends upon Visa Offices)
if you applied inland, you have to be in Canada. Bcoz CIC will not ship you passport outside Canada.
You need police check from all the countries you lived more then 6 months. They will request later, if you will not send with your application

Any Body else applied for spouse visa in April 2014?

We will be submitting ours in a couple of days. Reviewed and there were some small things we needed to fix. Things are fixed and we just need to put the final pieces together and send it off! So much work!!!

at first i thought i would apply for inland. then due to waiting time, i prefer outland. and just wanted to make sure that visa office in Beijing will be making final decision and hope they would not exceed the promised 9 months processing time.
