Hi Guys,

Should I and my wife do landing together? We are planning to go to our home country and will probably return on different dates, and will do landing at port of entry. Could there be any issue in that? Has someone done something similar.

Hi Members,

I have landed with my family at Rainbow bridge on Sunday. wait time at car line was 10-15 mins, both sides.
However, at CBSA office for CPR signing in officer presence, wait time was about 45 mins - 1 hr. (there were few guys for WP so took some time, though i was 5th in line).

I have a quick question -

After Landing, officer asked me to sign at one copy of CPR and stamped entry in my passport (wrote some I____(underscore) and number at bottom). took my Wp off. Congratulated me on becoming PR and updated me on Citizenship rules.

1) Do i need to renew SIN card and Health card now or upon receiving PR card?

2) How long its taking these days to get PR card? officer told me 3-4 months.

3) Any other things i have to do now related to CPR signed?

Thanks and All the best for the people waiting and Hope you will receive CPR soon.

Finally landed at Saskatoon CIC office yesterday. ;D ;D ;D

Got appointment after 55 days >:( and they called 5 applicants (with family) at 1pm for landing so we reached there at 12:45 pm and got our turn at 2:15 pm >:( >:( yeah that was frustrating. Any ways, it only took 20-25 mins for landing formalities.
Then we found that they won't update our SIN so we had to ran to Service Canada which is on the other side of the city >:(
Anyways, feeling so happy at the end :D

Someone please update the spread sheet.

Patel Bhai, well done.

Shukriya.

Hi friends,

I have landed with my family at Carway border on Saturday, May 16 and now my ECAS status is showing "Complete"

1. We received your application for permanent residence on April 14, 2014.

2. We started processing your application on February 20, 2015.

3. Medical results have been received.

4. A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

5. You entered Canada at the Carway office on May 16, 2015 and became a Permanent Resident.

First of all Congrats!

1) You can go with your landing documents to get the new SIN number before you will get the PR card. I just did that this morning, no problems. It's better to have the new SIN number as soon as possible.

2) According to CIC webpage it should take around 46 days to get the card

3) Get you new SIN as soon as possible and then the health card. Inform everybody (employer, bank etc.) about your new status.

Hope that helps!

Thus, were you waiting for your PPR for 6 months after MR? What happened during the waiting, i.e., did you get any document requests?

Hi Gaurav7386,

As far as I know, you guys don`t need to land together. However, the principal applicant (PA) must land first.

If you wish, you can contact CIC call center at: 1-888-242-2100 (1,1,3,2). They can clarify that for you.

Congratulations to all new Residents Permanent of Canada!!!!

Congratulations everyone who has landed recently!!

I finally got my CoPR after it got sent back to CIC by Canada Post for some reason! I'll be landing at Toronto Island on Monday!

Thanks, will go for SIN renewal today.

My ECAS state has been changed to "Decision made", but I haven't got the passport request yet. Is anyone in a similar situation?
