After paying my RPRF last 17 Feb, my eCAS is now "In Process"! ;D ;D ;D

Permanent Residence
1. We received your application for permanent residence on April 14, 2014.

2. We started processing your application on February 16, 2015.

3. Medical results have been received.

Congratulation :) :) ;) !! Now your application is in-progress whereas we have paid upfront RPRF but application is still in "Received" status. That is the issue with upfront RPRF problem.

Now you will get passport request sooner.

I am happy for you guys' status. My status changed to "in Process" since Oct 28 2014 but there is nothing else after that. Hopefully we will be in the same batch.....

Thanks but I don't think that there is an issue with upfront RPRF. As you can see I'm ahead of the timeline by more than a week than you and you just need to wait a couple more weeks to see some progress. :D

Do you mean that you will updated CIC that you received your BOWP? If this is what you are saying, there's no need. BOWP came from them and they have a system to verify that.

Even my spouse status has been changed from spouse visitor visa to work permit. Should i update it or not

If you remember then May applicant users "T.J" who got the RPRF request then within 3 weeks he got the decision made in ecas status. It is not a sequential process but depends on VOs.

I am suspecting that who did not pay the RPRF payment got the request to pay it from VO side and that day only or next days, status will be changed as "In-Progress" which I have been observing last month.

That means VOs are working on applicaiton. Who paid upfront RPRF payment did not get any update from VOs side as it is skipping process.

Then it is still sequential my friend. It just so happened that his case is:

1. Faster, he may be single, didn't went to other countries and everything is straight forward.
2. The VO is diligent, fastm pro-active, etc,

After that the VO will go to the next case opened depending on the sequence still. Others may jump to the sequence because others application may waiting for other stuff.

I am not saying literally that you will have your status to "In Process" after the others before you. What I am saying is give CIC more time and upfront RPRF is not really an issue. Unless you have an issue with your application, your status will change this month.

Actually, my negative thoughts are telling me that I did something wrong.... :P :)

Hopefully will get some update from CIC this month only.

Replying just to lower your anxiety sjulien :). I paid RPRF upfront after my medicals and got the status changed to In Progress last week, with Feb 8 as the date it went in progress.

Don't worry too much, there are a lot of factors for one application to go ahead of the other. Just relax and wait for the PPR, it will come sooner or later.

Hello seniors,

I’m an April applicant too. I did medicals in november and now I’ve received an email asking for a bunch more of documents (more pay stubs and a new police certificate from my home country).

Is this common? I’m a bit worried.

Thanks.

Thank you very much to letting some relax news. :)
