I was about to request it after MR. Can you share your thoughts? Do they have the entire history of your applications? (for instance, previous MR, Work Permits, etc).

It just the history of my PR application. There is no mention of my previous TWP application.

There are all sorts of different update/activities. Like updating of names, transferring of files, request for my RCMP and that they have received my fingerprints as well as some documents.

There were a lot of activities going on from April to June then no activity since....

Good to know that Cabalen, you got GCMS note. That means, they haven't start application process for April Month guys.

I will raise a request GCMS note after October month. In case there is no medical update.

Medical request means that our PR application has been approved. Correct?

I have read in some other thread that we will get our MR once we passed Eligibility. Then our PR applications will be approved once we passed Eligibility, Security, Criminality and Medical.

Anybody has an idea if this is normal?

I was just curious and requested it. I don't know that it was a 45-page document! It's worthwhile. I have now a certain idea what is happening with our applications.

I think, they should start eligibility at the very first otherwise it could waste some months of applicant if they don't pass it because of job letter or NOC mismatch. On this forum, I saw some people got rejection after 8 months because of eligibility failed. Well I am not spreading negative energy but this is not good idea of CIC to start from bottom to top.

What is your ecas status? because most of the april applicants status is " application received" but they actually started the process which is good :)

good luck to you!! i hope you will get your medical soon :)))

Thanks

Good to know that Passed Eligibility information.

For the curiosity, What kind of the information are there in GCMS note?

How many times we can request for it? Do you have any idea...

It seems every activity of your file. Mine were updating of details (address) minor changes in the address, an AOR email sent, an AOR email was cancelled (probably double email), email for RCMP request, received docs from me (RCMP and updated pages for my addresses), date of file transferred to Ottawa, they have this biographic check that says NRT (no record trace) - no idea what that is. it says when it was started, delayed and updated.

I don't know if there is a max request. But I've read in this thread that some people are requesting it every month. While some say that it may slow down your application.

Found this while researching...

When is the best time to order CAIPS/GCMS?
Answer: from Caipsretriever.com
a. Before receiving your Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR). If you have not received your AOR
then your CAIPS file will probably not have been created yet. But, requesting your CAIPS notes can
confirm whether the visa office has started processing the application or not, especially when there are
delays in sending out AORs.

b. After receiving your AOR. The preliminary points assessment will indicate whether your application
is evaluated accordingly to your expectations. For any problems, you have the opportunity to send an
additional documentation before a formal assessment. The BFD will indicate when to expect a formal
assessment of your application.

c. After receiving an invitation to an interview. The visa officers' notes will indicate why an interview is
required. During the interview it is crucial to address the visa officers' concerns, as outlined in the
notes.

d. After passing medicals and paying the Right of Permanent Residence fee (RPRF)
The normal reasons for delays after medical/RPRF are Canadian Security and Intelligence Service
(CSIS) security checks or processing errors. The CAIPS file will indicate if security checks have
been completed, and what other steps are outstanding if any.

e. Detecting and resolving processing errors. Obtaining your CAIPS notes allows you to check
your application for such errors or omissions and to resolve them early.

f. ADDITIONAL... when you already exceed the <# of months> processing time.

Requested my GCMS notes at the start of Aug, received it early this month. And the status was same as that of Cabalen :)

Those who have applied for Bridge WP, does it take long to prepare an application? How much work does it need? ... Thanks.

For BOWP also, is the expiry of the BOWP from TWP expiry plus 1 year or is it 1 year from the approval of the BOWP?
