For my surprise, I got home yesterday and my passport was waiting for me in my mailbox!!! I took a quick shower, hopped in the car and went straight to the border. I was so happy and excited, I couldn't even wait until the next day!
As you can imagine, the border was pretty busy. Friday night!! The whole thing (flagpole, lineup, waiting time) took a couple of hours, but it was all pretty straightforward. Both of my entry dates in the CoPR were wrong and I was still listed as "common-law". I showed the email I had sent to CIC with the update and none of that was an issue (probably because he's Canadian, I think). I wouldn't worry too much if your dates are wrong in your CoPR, but if your marital status is, and if your partner is not a Candian citizen, I would contact CIC.
I'm so so so SO happy!!! Thank you all so much for all your support for this past year or so. I wish you all the best of luck and your time will also come.
I'm finally a PR!! ;D
