Hi Canadiian,

I have already applied for renewal passport at BLS-Brampton center via Fedex/courier service. However, I haven't get any update from them whether everything is ok or not.

At a same time, I dropped a mail to CIC and got response that thanks for letting us know and send new passport copy ASAP.

I hope that I will get my new passport by end of March.

Regarding Passport validity, my case is similar to yours. My current passport is expiring in August 2015, which is less than 6 months validity now.
So, I am applying for a new one soon.

But, unlike your case, CIC did not ask me to provide them with a new valid passport copy yet.
Even if they do now, and give me 30 days, I should be able to request them to extend the deadline, without any problem.

I am just telling you this because, CIC gave you a 30 days timeline, to update them with new passport details, and as you know, it will take 4-6 weeks to get your new passport from the Indian Consulate. So, you did the right thing by requesting CIC to extend the deadline. They should be okay with that.

There is a Tatkal option to get your new passport on the same day from the Indian consulate in Toronto, if you are living there...rather than applying through BLS international services and waiting for 4-6 weeks.... but it's too late now, I guess, as you have already applied for it.

Give BLS 4-5 working days time... And you can check the status of your new passport on the BLS website.

Today I checked my online status and its been changed to In Process . Here is my time line.. file was received on 28 th April 2014 .They started processing on my file 2nd of march and medical result have been received.

Good Luck to everyone . Hope we all will get PPR soon.

My status has changed to "In Process". new line as added.

We received your application for permanent residence on April 28, 2014.

We started processing your application on March 4, 2015.

Medical results have been received.

I'm back! CONGRATS to all of you who received PPR and / or your applications are now In-Process! That's great news and I'm happy that - finally - our time has arrived.

I just checked my ECAS and shows In Process since March 2nd, so I hope to get PPR within one or two weeks.

Sorry Cabelen, I left you alone in one of the most busiest weeks ever during our journey!

I paid rprf on feb16th with my medicals.My medials updated in ecas.But RPRF didnt update.Does rprf will update in ecas or not.

I have a question My current e-status is showing "in Process" , and they started working on my application on February 24th and medicals have already been received.. I have paid RPRF upfront.
Should i just be patient and wait for PPR.. Does it make sense to order GCMS notes at this stage ?

Yes. Just wait for now. When did you apply?

You can still order GCMS to have an idea what's happening to your application. I am ordering my 7th GCMS today and I am already Decision Made. I would like to see the changes and try to understand the process.
