Congrats MJ009,

I have a question about Landing.
I have Visitor VISA for state and My don't have it.

So when I go to Rainbow Bridge there is no issue for me, but for my wife What should I have to do?. I'm from Toronto. Is there anything Special permission required to re-enter Canada from State. Do I need to apply for her US visitor VISA ?

Hi Admin,

Please update the Excel sheet RPRF paid on December 8(upfront) before CIC send RPRF email.

Hi All

I got my CPR! It was sent on Nov 26 but to my old address, thankfully I had done a mail redirecting with Canada Post.

Now what do I need to bring to land? The CPR, passport, work permit and anything else?

I will probably go this weekend or next to the Alberta/Montana border. After that, can I apply for a new SIN number or should I wait until I get the PR card?

Hey PhDstudent,

Can you tell us when did you received RPRF request and Passpport request?
This will help us all waiting applicants.

Sheet updated.

If you are planning to do a flagpole, you don't need a visa going to the US. Once you're there tell US immigration that you are doing flagpole and land as PR to a Canada. They know this already. They give you an administrative rejection - this is just a procedure and will not be recorded or put against you. Then go back to Canada for landing.

Check this for more details.

Nowadays, people receive interview letters to do landing and CIC will tell where to go. This is I heard better for any correction, if any, will be corrected on the spot. There is really no interview per se, it is only for formality.

Around 30 calendar days. Yes, to the email you've registered for electronic file. Physical file goes to your house mailbox.

Updated! Congrats.

I'm still not seeing "Medical has been received" after 3 weeks. I don't know what to do. Shall I contact CIC? I ordered GCMS notes, but it will take a while. I'm just wondering if the doctor has uploaded my results. He said YES, but there is no other way to confirm...

First of all congrats to all that received MR, RPRF or COPR until now.

maxmoore I'm in the same situation as you brother. I have done my medicals on Nov 14 and no changes to my ECAS as of now. I'm not worried yet but just wondering how long it takes to get the status changed after you're done with the medicals.... I guess we will see the change soon.

Hi Mihais2u,

Did you check by clicking "Application Received" or "In Process"?
They have added Medical Received for me over there.

Yes, I checked it out and it doesn't say anything. So far, the only line is:

Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on April 23, 2014.

I guess, we need to wait a bit more :)

Of course I did. It only shows just line 1. We received your application for permanent residence on April 14, 2014.
