We decided to go for a work permit instead of never ending awaiting for a MR. Wondering if PPR thru Ottawa will be faster than Vienna :-X

All the best with your applications. Just a matter of time.

I have been receiving so many emails regarding how to submit spouse's passport if he/she is in not Canada.

Here is my experience:

When you get your PPR, do send all the required + passport to ottawa with the explanation letter why your spouse's passport can not submitted to ottawa.

Also, reply back to PPR email (just press reply) and state the same explanation letter and mention you are sending your passport with the canada post tracking #

Ottawa will send you another ppr email (no time mentioned but assume 15-20 days) which you can send to your spouse and he/she can submit her passport to home country Canadian High Commission.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LAND IN CANADA UNTIL YOU HAVE CONFIRMED THE VISAS HAVE BEEN ISSUED TO YOUR FAMILY. YOU ALSO MUST LAND BEFORE OR AT THE SAME TIME AS YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS; THEY CANNOT LAND IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN LANDED.

Dose ordering GCMS notes affect processing time negatively? I can't afford any delay.

emailed ottopilot today. they replied within one hour. mentioned no need of any docs or information and its in queue for final review. but cant give me a specific date for decision.

All i can do is keep waiting.

that was a quick response from ottopilot.

Congrats ! When was your application "in process" ?
I remember us having similar timeline . I received my notes that I ordered Christmas Eve, still haven't been assigned to an officer yet . In process since "sep 10"
My work visa expires in July :-( i m going out of canada for a week in March , would I have any problem coming back if I haven't received my PR by March ???
