April 2013 PNP tracking

Hi Kijo, you and I sent it to the "courier" address right? it took 6calendar days (4business days) for ottawa to receive my passport.
And there was no update with the tracking number, until now.. Just saw that the tracker has been activated. I hope it will not take that long for me to get my passport.

They received my passort Dec19. CPP-Ottawa kept my passport for 11days before deciding to mail it to me today.. that was a long wait too..

Yours is actuallly fast. They kept mine for 3 weeks. There are many people, whose passports are kept for 2 to 3 months. Yes, MONTHS. But it is crazy how slow your mail goes. I used Canada Xpress post from a rural area and it reaches Ottawa within 2 business days. When it returns, i have a city mailing adress. It took 1 business day.

Do you know if Canadapost delivers your mail longer than they promise, which is 2 to 3 business day, you can get your money back? I got mine back a while ago because I was upset about the delay. Hey, why not? After all, it is a contract that they must respect.

Good to know. Thanks. Maybe I will do that. I sent my passports on 19th, tracker shows 'out for delivery' in ottawa since 23rd and CIC said passports were received on 27th Dec..I guess I am eligible for a refund, rt ?

Wow! I can file a complaint too! You guys are right! I sent mine December 13th and i even spent $40 on cab just to make it on their cut off at 5pm but it was send out Dec17th already and received by Ottawa on dec19!

Good Idea! Might as well take advantage about it!

I just called Canadapost and they will give me a refund for the xpresspost fee which is $16.87 which will be received in 10business days. ;D

by the way, my tracker got activated yesterday Dec30th and they said i will receive my passport in Jan02 because tomorrow is a holiday!

I'm so excited! I can't wait to do the Flagpole!

Thats a good news. Congrats. Yes I posted it to courier address on 19th Dec, however today I got confirmation from CIC that passports were received on 27th Dec i.e 4 business days (delay due to holidays). I am hopeful that I will get my passports back around 10th Jan. Lets see.
I am sure you are excited. I hope you can get some sleep tonight, lol.

Do we get confirmation thru email from CIC once they receive the passport? I sent mine on December 20th thru Fedex, and was delivered on the 23rd but no confirmation.

Yes I requested them to locate and confirm if they were received... They did and emailed me back.

Hi Guys, anyone here who are in BC, i'm from Chilliwack, near Abbotsford and Vancouver. And I'm planning to do my flagpole tomorrow. But i want to know which boarder is best to go to. I've heard a lot of bad experiences in Sumas Boarder Crossing. Do you guys know where else I can go to? And of you can tell me your experiences I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Any estimates - when should I expect passport request?
From the tracking sheet it seems like it takes 4 months to get the passport request.
