I understand..but how many of you have not been home in the last 8 years? I did. I have been in Canada since sep 2005, and never had a chance to go home and see my family in person. And I need to be a PR to work somewhere else..

Yep, that was a Sunday....weird eh?

Anyway I have been in process since beginning of July so it has been almost 3.5 months with no update...guess that is still pretty good compared to others....

Hey what category of PNP were you applying? I was actually under student category of SINP...I really hope it's not gonna take 4 months after "In process" because my file started processing on august 20,2013, so 4 months it'd be Dec20,2013, then guess what, BOOM! Christmas break!!

I applied under BCPNP as architect....reading from the feb forum i see that because of the strike everything got delayed by a month or more....most who applied in feb to ottawa from within canada seem to have the same timeline than me ( 3 to 4 months since in process).

But since you are a student u might be lucky...if they even work on sundays to send me a DM on ecas then i am pretty sure they will still have someone to work on the files during christmas...

Now i now might even have to wait another 10 days until my PR is in the mail anyway...and then i can go down to the border


anyone knows how much time i have to land before the papers expire?

Nope but a friend of mine who used to work for CIC said it typically takes up to 10 business days after DM to receive the letter so i can do a flagpole ( i am visa exempt ) so no need for me to send the passport to ottawa....
