is there a way to delay your process ?? i am getting married in january but I will get my PR probably by next month. I want to kind of delay my immigration process so that I can include my wife in the same application after getting married in january. I know it is going to delay the process. but it is a far better option than spousal sponsorship which takes about 2 years from pakistan.
any suggestions

ALM123,

I don't think there is a way to delay the process othar than to change your VO to Vienna. Or London.

Kidding.

Actually, you could apply together as a common in law partners even at the time of application. So you can do that right now. But be ready to prove you're really a couple for a long time by providing envelopes of an old mails to the same address for either names, some common bills etc. If you can't prove that - I wouldn't risk to play with a fire.

the thing is we havent been in a relationship for too long. so its hard to prove all those things. But what would you suggest ?? if i get married next month and add her to my application, is it better than getting married next year after my immigration is done ?? because spousal sponsorship is more intense and is a long process where you need to provide documents of your relationship. texts, emails etc. If i get married before my immigration, then i wont need to do all that stuff and simply add her to my application
what do you think ??

I think the best is to call/write your PNP representative first. And strictly follow their advise. If they can include your wife into the "letter of acceptance" or how it's called, you could try to include her into the federal stage.

I'm not an expert in such questions, but would do the same on your place.

I think tomorrow or friday, people whom file transferred and reached to Ottawa from cio-ns on Aug 27 and Sep 5 can be lucky !!

Let's hope for the best !
Hey bud I guess my file was on Ottawa from 27 SEP that's wat my GCMS saying I guess .do u know how long it took for security to Finnish

As per my understanding and recent response from immigration officer on my file, Security is mostly done by CIO and then file is transferred to CPP-Ottawa. In GCMS notes you will see that security is blank. That's because on the top of that page you will see s(21) or s(26) which means they can't disclose information related to international affairs. That's why in GCMS notes security is blank.
