Thanks a lot fr the detailed information sarayu. That was very helpful. So my 10th certificate has my fathers name on it. If I give that along with the affidavit from my parents thy should work right??

Hi skMarch31,

You are most welcome. If your 10th class certificate shows your father's full name (both first name and last name) then that should be fine. Also, I suggest you to get an affidavit.

If your father's name is NOT FULL in your 10th class certificate, you HAVE TO take an affidavit from your parents and also I strongly suggest you to get NO-BIRTH RECORD certificate from Municipality/Grama Panchayat office.

My 10 class certificate shows the first initial middle initial and the surname I my father. It does not contain the full name. I guess you are right I should get a no record certificate from mcd.

The affidavit is different from one place to another...but the content will be almost same. The local municipality will have it. So, just go there and inquire for that.

You have been of great help. This is my plan of action let me know if it's right or if I need to change it.

I will get certificate of no record from mcd Delhi and an affidavit from my parents on 20 rs stamp paper.

And submit both together in place of birth certificate.

Please let me know if I need to attach any 3rd thing to this.

I could not see my application status in e-cas. Neither by UCI or an application number.. I received AOR on April 30, 2013 : ???
