They did not send us a letter about the 'language ability interview'. Did you send them any language test results with your application?

Nope. I sent in a copy of my university diploma (I went to school in the USA) as my proof of language. Maybe that is why I got that extra letter. They will have to check my language competency during my interview.

Sometime in July. I do not know if it is related to a file transfer to local office, or to the new style changes on the online services page.

I was hoping that it would be a file transfer... Have you phoned the CIC about any details or info?

I guess that's the reason why, as we did send the test results.

I wonder if this will slow down my application. I mean the checklist did say I can provide a copy of my diploma from a school that teaches in English or French in lieu of the test. Hopefully it doesn't delay anything.

It shouldn't. That's why they said that the would check your language ability at the interview.

We phoned CIC, the agent said that our file is still in process, no transfer to the local office yet... at least they told us that our local office will be Scarborough.

Transfer out to local CIC trend seems to be around 9-12 mths after application received date so still early!

Has anyone ordered CBSA report? Half of my travel records are missing in my report. Does anyone have the same experience?

Hi Sheb, You can go to a LINC center nearest to where you live and take test with them. You need at least 5/5/5 in writing/reading/speaking. If you get less than 5 in any of the section, you need to study English and do the test again till you get at least 5 in all of the sections. Good thing is that the classes & tests are free :D After you do the test, they will give you a certificate with your score written on it. Send that certificate to CIC.

Thanks a lot!
I haven't been here for a while, just saw your reply!
I think it's because of language proof we sent: Me and Keesio sent Diploma from ENg/FR speaking country and both got this note..So should be becuase of that.
Keesio have you asked cic agent about that?

Hi sheb,
I have not spoken to CIC yet. I think it is all fine however. I vaguely recall asking CIC before I sent int the application to confirm and the agent saying that if you provide a copy of your diploma from a school that teaches in English or French, you are fine. Everywhere else I read seems to confirm this
