I paid my RPRF on January 27th, 2014 and still waiting. I don't think you are waiting that long so no need to panic.

I done my medical first week of February I didn't hear nothing after that. Why does it take such a long time for rest of the procedure. Any advice?

Hi Miranja,

Have you advised them that you've already done your medicals?

I am still waiting too :(

Hey there, I paid my RPRF Dec 27 2013 and still haven't heard anything back from CiC. I did however check my status a few days ago (2.5 months after doing the medical on Jan 6) and my medical has been received.

However, I'm not sure what the average time for an update on your CiC page about receiving the medical is...

Hi there, I need help!!

I began my PR process when i was working in Canada.Sent the application in Feb and CiC confirmed receiving my application on april 9th 2013. I moved from Canada to Pakistan in September 2013.
I paid my RPRF + biodata on Dec 27 2013. My medical was completed by the 6th of Jan and my CIC application confirms that they have received it.

It has now been nearly 3 months since I paid my RPRF and about 2 months 3 weeks since my medical.

I sent an email to CiC who never respond to my queries but this time they responded within in 12 hrs (as opposed to 20 working days)! They said "Your application is in process in Ottawa where it is currently being reviewed by an officer. No further action is required by you at this time. An immigration officer will be in contact with you if any further correspondence is needed. We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum."

Question 1. : How much longer can this take?
Question 2 : What is the next step?
Question 3: I hear they request your passport. Would i have to send this to the canadian embassy in Pakistan or will i courier it to Canada?
Question 3: How much time does the above process (question 2/3) take?

I was planning on going on a vacation in May to Thailand but ill have to cancel if my PR doesn't come in time. Ill have to apply for a study permit for graduate studies and the processing time for that is 11 weeks in Pakistan :( - Immigration doesn't give your passport back if you need to travel

Question 1. : How much longer can this take?
[red] Hang in there I have seen so many applicants from Pakistan being delayed after Medical it is normal.[/red]

Question 2 : What is the next step?
[red]There is no harm applying GCMS notes and see where your application is. [/red]

Question 3: I hear they request your passport. Would i have to send this to the canadian embassy in Pakistan or will i courier it to Canada?
[red] If you already have updated them with your current country of residence and address, You will get a request to send your passport to CHC ISBAD. However, if not than you will send them an email and ask for visa stamping at local CHC office.[/red]

Question 3 [red]4[/red]: How much time does the above process (question 2/3) take?
[red]It depends on VO and case to case. If you were frequent traveler than it takes time to check with all the countries authorities where you visited in past[/red]

I was planning on going on a vacation in May to Thailand but ill have to cancel if my PR doesn't come in time. See the answers above in red thx.
