It's been a while for me since I sent in my medical exam. I'm worried too.

I received my Medical and and Bio-Data form today. it is saturday and I got the email around @ 8.00pm MST. But I have a question. I already done my upfront medical on last june (8 months ago), for me and my family and sent the UMI to CIC. I am curious about why they ask medical again. Should I call CIC or directly do the medical. plz help me guys. why they ask medical again after done the upfront medical.

Hi everyone! Just want to share it with u guys. I just got my medical request today. I hope everything will run smooth once I'm done with it. Btw my application was received by CIO on April 5, 2013, got my AOR May 16, 2013, my NOC code is 6212. To those who are still waiting for their MR's just stay positive. cheers everyone ! :)

Finally, I would suggest to resend UMI again to CIC.

how long did it take for the ECAS status to change after you had done the medical

Depends on the speed of the doctor

4 to 7 days for result
7 to 14 days for ECAS to update,

so a few different variables there

I landed yesterday at the Pacific Crossing. I went over the border to do some shopping and when I came back the wait was less at Pacific than Peace so I went that way.
It's fairly uneventful. You have to go inside to be processed, they ask if the info on the COPR is correct. Ask a couple more questions and then you sign both copies if the COPR. one is stapled to your passport (I'm from a visa exempt country) and they say "congratulations, you are now a Canadian Permanent Resident. You will recieve your PR card in the mail in 4-6 weeks. You will have to go to Service Canada and get a new SIN card"
and that's about it!

LCM21, how was your landing??
