My COPR was issued January 21 (even before my status changed to "medicals received"...weird) and I only received it today as well. Talk about snail mail...!

Same here my PPR was issued before my status was changed to med received... and then suddenly it was changed to decision made on Sunday...

I want to give my sincere Thanks to this Community which helped me a lot during my PR journey from Application Received to see the final Status turned to – Completed.

Application Sent – 20 April 2013 and Received at Sydney – 25 April 2013
AOR – 10 June 2013 (ECAS – Application Received)
Medical – Upfront (ECAS – Medical Received)
Bio Data / RRPF – 10 Dec 2013 (ECAS – Application in Process)
Passport Request – 10 Jan 2014 and Received Back – 22 Jan 2014 (ECAS – Decision Made)
Landed – 26 Jan 2014 and Current Status on ECAS is – Completed

Also, just want to share some key learning.

NOC Code – I learnt that NOC code plays important role in application processing and it seems its demand based, so if CIC feels that this NOC is in demand or something they usually process those applicant faster to meet the demand.

Communication with CIC – Most of the people have issues that CIC is not replying to their E-mails. By understanding that they are processing huge number of applicants and replying so many E-mails. Please expect a delay in that, sometime I got a reply for my queries even after 1 Months, So there is always a hope. And GCMS notes are the key in your hand. Apply for the Notes when you feel uncomfortable.

And Finally Patience – I think this is Key, Just be patience, Calm and Cool, I understand that sometime you feel that the applicants who applied after you is processed and even the applicants along with you is moving faster, But the real truth is this is , That this is something you cannot control, The key is with CIC so don't give hard time to yourself. 

I am looking forward to provide my support to the future applicants and wish their success for their Dream to come true.
Regards'
Thanks a lot for your advice. I am a May applicant and this really helps.

Done with my medical yesterday..then found Glucose on my urine..now need to see a family dr den wait another 1 week for urinilasis again..

I'm worried is this will affect my PR application?

It seems like everyone's medicals are being received and moving forward to the next stage!

I've been counting my days and it's almost 2 weeks since I had my medical exam done. Perhaps, my doctor didn't send out the eMed right away... But I'm still patiently (and anxiously) waiting for ecas to update!

Arr, I know I'm almost there, but this is all I can think about!

do not worry. my medicals as doc were sent on Jan 9th. the status got updated on Jan 27th. on 28th I got PPR.
so.....hang on

Doctor told me that they don't send the result directly to CIC, but rather to a center in south of USA and then they will send it to CIC. Is it true? anybody heard it?

Thanks for the comment! I know I shouldn't be concerned, but it's hard not to :P

I will be waiting patiently...

Suvan, can you please share if you are located in the GTA? Because you seemed to reecieve your COPR very quickly after decision made. The CIC officer told me my documents were sent on Jan 28th by regular mail (one day before my status changed to decision made)....It is now 7 business days later and I have still not received it.

The docs alontwith COPR do not say anything about the Pics at all. So I guess no photos are required.

Also just a question - i plan to go to home country and then come back to Canada. So landing will be done then. I hope that is fine and in line.

That should be fine, as long as you exit and enter Canada again! My friends went on a Euro trip and landed when they came back to Canada as well.

In regard to the photos - one of the COPR copies actually had a picture of me already on there. Wonder if it's possible to switch it? (would rather pick a nicer one :P)

I couldn't wait any longer and called my doctor if they sent in my emedical or not.

The girl that picked up the phone kindly assisted me and to quote...

"If we didn't call you for a follow up, that means there was nothing wrong with your medical exam, and we would have sent it to CIC within one week".

If I assumed that the files were sent in a week later, I should expect to see ecas updated sometime next week.

I'm starting to overthink, but I should just trust everyone that has commented on my post and wait patiently!

Just did my landing guys at Rainbow bridge

Took 10 minutes

My advice, rap up very warm if your crossing the bridge!!!!!!

It's like -40 something with the windchill .

I couldn't even speak properly to the officer

Quite funny, she said take a few minutes to thaw out lol
