It's probably the same one you must have used, https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en
You just select "Privacy Act" instead of "Access to Information Act" when prompted.

Just received the GSMS Note

Not a surprise at all. You've only been waiting 5 months. Check out threads SEPT through DEC to see how much has been done...half of SEPT still waiting, half of OCT, most of NOV and DEC still waiting. At this rate, I wouldn't expect much for your until DEC 2013 or even JAN 2014.

Hello folks,
I have one confusion in my mind :-\ .... need help to clarify...
It goes like this:

When I started my work in Feb 2012 I was hourly at $**. But after 9 months, in October 2012, my company increased my pay and converted me from hourly to salary at $***** per year. My position was same from the beginning which falls into NOC code 2211. I have included my pay stubs in my application too. Should I clear it to visa office by sending them clarification or explanation letter or they will understand? As my T4 shows less amount then what I was offered after October.

Now, what should I do? Need your help...
Thanks...

I have a similar situation. Started working in the end of Jan. 2012. The first 3 months as a probationary period I was paid hourly, and after 3 months I got a raise and was assigned a salary. My reference letter only mentions a year salary, and the amount in the letter deffers from the amount in the 2012 T4 form.

I also wonder if anyone thinks this may be a problem.

I dont perceive this as a problem....as long as you provide an explanation letter that gives context to the difference. Just explain that you were hourly and then moved to a salaried position. That should be it! They will calculate the rest....I've seen them reconcile hours against income. Unless its a major discrepancy where you just werent reporting income or paying taxes, it shouldnt be an issue. But would be best if you provide an explanation nonetheless.

Did you submit the 2012 T4 already? If you didnt....you could make a case that you noticed the difference when it came in, and then decided to provide some background info.

Yes, I have submitted 2012 T4. But can I just send them a letter explaining the situation? or not?

Seeming as how only a few 2174 applications from 2013 are being processed....ya, go for it. And just email it to them. My approach is to take the chance...moreover if I was the VO and noticed a discrepancy, I would want to have an explanation up front, rather than create and log communication, and then wait and repeat. I dont see the harm in sending it!! Could only help...
