I am an April Applicant. I already got my AOR on 11th June 2013.
I don't have a straight forward letter of reference, hence while filing the application I have provided a cover letter stating all the proofs. My initial cover letter is as follows:
I am hereby attaching the following reference letters from my employer which exhibits my Canadian experience, skills, roles and responsibilities.
a. Letter from employer that has been issued while applying WP – Shows details of client, duties, issuing authority with company details
b. Attached XXXX letter as the work contract letter for Canada, part of additional supporting document asked in section 10 of the checklist
c. Letter from employer issued on date X 2013 for applying country X visa. Though this letter was issued for applying X Visa but it also shows my deputation date to Canada (X date Y Month 2013) exhibiting relevant Canadian experience & annual salary till date
d. Salary Letter with benefits issued on - A Date B Month 2012
e. Pay Stubs – from Jan 2012 till Mar 2013 - Showing monthly working hours
f. Copy of joining letter
As I noticed my deputation date has a typo in the cover letter its 2013, it should have been 2011.
So I am planning to add another cover letter attaching most up to date information. I recently got an updated salary change letter and also a letter showing my current roles and responsibilities while applying renewal of Canadian Visa. The letter contains everything that I we need, the only additional thing mentioned in the letter is "it is issued for applying the canadian visa and personal travel expenses will be borne by the employee" These letters contain most up-to date information,
But I have few questions, please help.
1. Do I need to explicitly mention about the typo in my earlier cover letter? All my docs contain deputation date as 2011
2. I write the second cover letter as follows, seniors please suggest, specially the wordings.
I would like to include the below letters in support of my permanent application as it contains the most up to date information which shall help you in accessing my application. The attached letters include
- Updated Salary structure including benefits
- Up to date reference letter which shows date of deputation (X date Y Month 2011), my roles and responsibilities, hours of work etc
Requesting add these letters to my application and provide an acknowledgement. Thank You for your help !
3. I haven’t mentioned anywhere directly in my cover letter that my employer doesn’t provide a letter of reference but I have indicated which letter contains what piece of information. Do I need to write that my employer doesn’t provide a letter of reference?
