Hi everyone!

If you could please add this to the spreadsheet, would really appreciated!!
When I read all of your posts, there is only few that are from Quebec, so on my end, CSQ was sent on May 21 2013, received as per tracking May 22 2013...

Hope everything goes smoothly for each and everyone of you, I guess PATIENCE will mean a great deal for all of US!

Hi,

Today my application is returned saying that it is not complete.

On Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM 1344), there is a section for signatures. Sponsor needs to sign. Co signor if needed. Then the main applicant needs to sign.

My wife did not sign because I was under the impression that as per the notes above, if you are immigrating to QUEBEC, she does not need to sign.

They returned the application saying this signature (of the main applicant) is required. Did I understand it incorrectly? Even if I am sponsoring for Quebec, this signature is required?

Please help. I am going to call CIC on Monday and will get this signature if reuireed. Does my wife need to sign even if it is a quebec sponsor application?

Yes.

There are forms that she needs to sign and that you need to sign.
And for the Québec, it's the same thing, there're forms for you and for her.

Well let me clarify it for you, because I am not sure if I explained it or not. I live in Quebec and my husband in Turkey, we applied so he can come to Canada, and I think unlike you it's the opposite, am I mistaken???
For the interview, really not sure if they'll be one, I guess it all depends of the visa officer and what needs to be clarified if anything.....As per your husband's friend well wowww really nice and did he also get an interview???

Yes unfortunetly you misunderstood. Hope i will be able to be clear, I live in Quebec and is sponsor my husband.
If you look at the checklist, under Sponsor you will see that for IMM 1344 the sponsor and sponsored need to sign THAT form:

SPONSOR

1. Original of completedApplication to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking
(IMM 1344) signed by you,your co-signer (if you have one) and the person you want to sponsor.
Note: You should keep a copy of this document for your records. This agreement lists the obligations and
responsibilities that fall unto the sponsor, co-signer (if applicable) and the persons being sponsored.

2. Original of completed Sponsorship Evaluation(IMM 5481) orFinancial Evaluation(IMM 1283).
See Step 2. Complete the application in the Guide to sponsorship to know which form to complete.
Note: Sponsors residing in Quebec do not need to complete this form.

SA letter arrived

It seems that too often CIC records applicants emails incorrectly, as was the case with me. If you read some of the earlier posts in this thread you will find others had the same thing happen. I had to call CIC and get them to correct my email address. Perhaps you should call them just to be sure. Best wishes for a successful and quick processing of your application.

Thanks chala for your encouraging thoughts - our letter arrived Friday the 24th in the mailbox and the decision was a positive one. We were a bit worried since we both reside abroad and the sponsor had to prove to the CIC official in a letter that steps have been taken towards moving to Canada once/if the PR is granted.

Good news for all April 2013 applicants.

It says in the CIC website that they are currently working on applications received last April 23, 2013. The update for the processing times was May 22 and it also says in the website that Assesment of Sponsor will take 29 days.

I've been waiting 85 days since PPR for my family's COPR (our VO is CPP-Ottawa). Although this is quite a bit longer than most cases, I'm just suggesting that buying plane tickets might be premature.
