Chala...Summerside...and anyone else recently receiving they're AOR and Sponsor Approval...I realize some are notified by email...and some by snail mail...I'm curious as to how anybody recently has been notified of either.
I'm actually just coming up to two weeks since FedEx receipt of our application...Ive checked ECAS with a receipt number generated by an on-line payment...and nothing appears to be in the system yet..I KNOWWW its early and I know each situation is unique...but wondering how you folks were notified of receipt and then approval? Thanks! :o)

we got ours (AOR & SA) through e-mail. :)

great news! congrats! stage one is cleeaarr!
so I guess anyone with that 'decision made' status has been approved?
just checked ecas and it still says 'application received' :(

summerside, did u talk to a representative or did the automated message thing tell you that you were approved?

my application still says 'application received' but my wife received an e-mail from CPC informing us of an approval in her elibility to sponsor and that the application was forwarded to CEM. So far, we had two e-mails coming from CPC-M, the 1st is the AOR, the 2nd is the SA. Currently, ecas on my applications says:

Application received

Medical results have been received

:)

Same as you, nothing on my side.......

I've been living in Canada for the past 2,5 years. I sent my application on April 29th. I didn't include Canadian criminal record. Will that be a problem? I didn't even think of it. I only sent one from my home country.

ok so i couldn't hold it and I called the call center.

first some lady picked up and when I asked her about my file she said, well if you received the email that means your file has been approved and forwarded to said visa office. So I said i only got the AOR and no SA so she said hold on, and connected me to some other guy who knew even less.

he told me that they're still working on applications from march 25th and they haven't even opened April applications, so i said are you sure? (because so many people from April got their SA) and he said let me verify and after a few minutes came back and said ' yup, still working on march 25th applications, wait three weeks'

:(

they didn't even ask for my UCI or anything, the only thing I got out of that call was knowledge that the workers there aren't very well informed :(

Yes. If you have been living in any country for longer than six months you are supposed to provide criminal records for those countries. So yes ! I would say get your fingerprints done ASAP and get them sent to the RCMP. Once u get a letter back, send that to cic !

Thanks Vincent82....seems as long as they have the correct email address that's "maybe" the preferred mode of communication...

Another question for you all...I pre payed the total fees upfront using they're internet payment option....received a pdf version of a receipt and included one copy with the application package..

How did you folks submit payment if you have paid already...and did anybody have issues with on-line payment?

It clearly states in the guide that police clearances aren't required for Canada as CIC will check themselves.

Call them again and ask another agent and keep calling back until you get a satisfactory answer. I had a similar experience as you until I finally got someone who knew something.

Hey guys! First off, great forum!

Okay, now we just recently got married last March and in the midst of gathering our docs. I need some help...im the person being sponsored and the checklist says they need the form imm 1017 incl on the application package. I called the clinic to make an appointment and they told me that I need a letter and form from CIC in order to get screened. The form that has a barcode, said the clinic assistant.

The website was quite vague on which imm1017 I sjould get, so i just wanted to make sure, do i get the medical exam before, or after we submit the application.

Many thanks in advance for your help

Im gonna have to disagree with this. If you have been living anywhere longer than six months you have to provide a statement from the RCMP regarding your criminal record, whether it is completely clean or not, by getting finger prints done. I myself had to do it and another poster I know of also.

Got my SA this morning !!!! God thank you !!!!!!!!!

Oh so confusing. Maybe i should wait till my sponsor gets SA and then send my clearance to Poland. That's where my application will be processed.
