APRIL 2013 Applicants!

We received our AOR on May 3, and today is day 26 since we filed our application. Should I be worried or call CIC?
I see that May applicants are now getting SA...

I noticed a couple of New Delhi April applicants that already have passport requests...one has a passport request on the same day of the AOR from the visa office. How is that even possible??? Unless New Delhi has a different order of doing things (?). I just wonder if some offices just operate a little slower than others.

From looking at other months it seems like New Dehli applicants always get passport requests right after SA.
I am just worried my application is lost in the pile or something? I'm probably just bring paranoid!

Yes New Delhi requests the passport at the very beginning of the process when the application gets to that VO

I just got off the phone with CIC, they say that they are working on applications received on April 8, which is clearly untrue looking at the spreadsheet...the agent told me to wait roughly two more weeks for my SA...frustrating!

Just call back and speak to another agent. I had a similar experience from my first call, but when I made the 2nd call I got the info I needed. i wouldn't be surprised if you already have stage 1 approval. Try checking ecas also

Hi there!

We would like to joing the thread.

Here is some info about us: We've been together for more than two years now. Recently married. I'm Colombian. We met in Colombia while travelling. We have traveled for the most part of our relationship. Now we want to settle down, so we got married and applied for the PR. We think we have a very complete application:

-Tons of proof: catholic wedding, photos, family trips together, skype -chats-email records. Boarding passes -same flights together. Financial support. Friends in common. Contracts under both names.
-Im not a criminal and Im healthy.
-Perfectly filled forms -double checkings
-Explanations of our relationship. Very detailed docs...

We're very confident and we know we're gonna get it.

Application:
We sent our application on April 1, 2013.
They received it on April 5, 2013 -As Fedex said.
We got an AOR from Immigration Canada on April 23, 2013 saying they got our package. We also got our UCI.
On April 25, 2013 my husband got approved as sponsor. -Which makes us so happy!! The letter also said they sent our application to our visa office -Bogota in our case.

Now we hope they process it fast enough!

Hello everybody!

I have just received my AOR from my visa office -Bogota, Colombia. I'm so happy. We applied April 1 and my visa office has my application already.

Wanting the time to fly! Also my husband is coming in less than a month which makes me extremely happy.

My ecas still says application received, as does the automated CIC phone system. I guess I am just being impatient!

ghunter...our timelines are the same...essentially...we got our SA today...yours is coming too! I checked Ecas and its not updated either...from what I've read its not a very accurate tool to rely on. Have Faith!!! They're still within the stated timeline..its coming! @ 8) 8)
