Alright, we've got our COPR papers and the online "decision made" status now shows online. :D The COPR indicates that our papers were issued on November 12th exactly 7 months after we applied. We are so excited!! And hope that everyone else's experience can be this positive. Good luck!

Hello Ladies and Gents
I havnt been here in a while, been really busy with work. WoW nice to see so many getting their PPR, and some have even landed, many many congratulations to you all.

Just an update: Looks like my situation might get longer ... all depends on recent events.
I'm sponsoring my wife from Iraq, since there is no visa office in Iraq; Iraqi appalications are usually handled by the VO in Syria. Since Syria is currently in a revolution the Canadian VO there closed, and Iraqi applications were moved to Jordan.
Recent events in Jordan (Riots, protesting, political unrest) all point to revolution there as well :'(

Currently the wait time in the Canadian VO in Jordan is about 19 months ... God only knows what will happen now.
Sorry just had to vent.

Great news, congrats! We hope they stay on track with timelines like yours. :) But then, we have yet to receive PPR so for us, cannot be . . .

Hey CKnD,

Hope that your family is doing OK with all the turmoil in the Middle East, I hope that your visa get processed fast enough! Many applicants are waiting and it's hard, but if on top of that you have a war going on, it's worse - so I wish you the best of luck.

Seems that most VOs went up, London also went from 7 (at the time where I applied), to 8, and now 9. (which I agree - is still one of the fastest, not complaining or comparing here), but it seems that CIC is taking longer in every part of the world.

Good luck to all - the thread seems to be pretty quiet for April applicants.

Hi Sweden, we are seriously considering booking return tickets mid december and just waiting out the process in canada...do you think its too risky without COPR?? is it better to be honest with customs and let them know were in process or just not say anything to them about our application, not sure if they would have our info in their system...? were really starting to loose our patience and seeing that its gone from 7 to 9 months now, we cant bear to wait much longer, please let me know what you think :)

The information about your application is accessible by the CBSA once sponsorship has been approved, your from a visa exempt country so cross with your spouse and tell them you wish to remain until the process of your application is finished you should have no problems have everything you can with you to prove you have filed, sponsorship approval letter etc...

Hey all, my spouse recieved his visa and COPR yesterday, :) it was issued nov 15th 2012 and his PPR was Nov 8th 2012, our interview was waived. Could you pls update thje spreadsheet?

Goodluck everyone!

Hi Kaede,

I moved back to Toronto at the end of August with a return ticket to wait it our. I had no issues at immigration. I think you should be fine, just explain your story. I received a DM at the end of last week so hopefully yours is on the way.
