stephc any news on what you're MP have done?

btw, I am not on EI and is not on maternity either. I did submit an option c printout. I am not employed now though but i submitted a financial plan on how we could survive through savings and help of relatives. When husband arrives, then i could work. but i guess they don't care about that.

i really don't know how long i should wait... i also don't know in what way my MP could help that is why i haven't emailed. i'm just stuck with waiting now.

You should email them, just to put more pressure on the visa officer. It sounds like there's no reason to be delayed other then you said there was a mix up about your taxes? I thought there was a mix up of my taxes as well, as the CRA just requested for some more information from my accountant a few weeks ago. But apparently that's normal and this is the season that they start reviewing and requesting more information.. I called them today about it. So you're 'unemployed' and I was basically that, meagerly self-employed then a student living off my own life savings. I think that's what it comes down to, is people with regular jobs who receive things like T4's get approved right away and those others in different circumstances they have to review.

I think you should contact your MP for sure.. it's way beyond ridiculous now, the waiting time is just unbelievable.. especially since you need your husband because of your baby. The MP can at least help, and perhaps persuade the approval to appear. Mine was supposed to contact me today, maybe tomorrow they will. I was hoping by the time they contacted me I would have approval already.

Hey everyone, so I just wanted everyone to know that my status just changed to "In Process" on September 7th! I can't believe it, I thought it'd be another month before I heard something. ;D

Yes! congratulations ( and welcome back on the thread!) - great to see that you got approved and "back on track" after some delay for the missing documents... now your VO is super fast, so I hope that the second stage will go very smooth - and possibly faster than stage 1!
Good luck,

Hello everyone,

Please i would appreciate if anyone could highlight some suggestion to my question. My wife just called me that when she was going through the 3 pages essay she wrote about herself and how our relationship developped she found out that she did not bring the junior high school she attended in the essay but it was writen in the application where she named all the schools she attended. She made a editting mistake in the essay that from primary school she went to senior high school instead of junior high school before the senior high school but in the main application form everything was ok. So my question is that should we notify the officer about the editing mistake she made on the essay or there is no need? They requested some educational document from her which i don't know whether it was because of the mistake she made on the essay that why the request or it is just standard demand. Thanks in advance! She is worried but i am not cos she has picture of all the school she went from high school to university wearing uniform bearing the name of the school which a blind office would see plus she has already been given transcript and testimonail letter as well.

Hi Everyone,

I have questions,

I didn't declare my brothers and sisters when i applied for my PR. Does this gross negligence have any effect on my wife's interview? If they ask her about my brothers and sisters what she should say?
How can i declare them now?

Thank you .

None, i think you have been aware for a while since the last time you were telling me to check on ecas maybe i will see the interview date for my wife. The letter actually came 3 days after your suggestion and her interview is schedule on November 28 2012 @ 8:00am. Now to your question, i think you have to declare them now since you havn't declare them in your PR. Since you did not declare them it means you are the only child of your parents so i suggest you stick to what you declare in your application.

I don't get why people leave brothers, sisters, mum's, dad's and in a crazy post earlier their own child off an application. Leaving your brother's and sister's off your application was for sure negligent bordering on misrepresentation. However I don't think it will have bearing on your application. As for what your wife should say at her interview is a totally different matter. Now you have made a mistake I would be honest and tell them everything. I assume they will question why you left them off the application, they had no bearing on your application had you added them from the start.

You can't just declare them now, it is to late. I would wait to see what questions they ask at the interview and see if it is mentioned and I assume when they do background checks they will show up on that.

Good luck :D
