Hi everyone...

I just wanted to share with you that on August 15th we received AOR from our VO. We got two letters in the same email, the second was requesting we pay the PR fee, police certificates, and the 4 pictures for the applicant I forgot to include in the package.

I wasn't expecting to hear anything for another 3 to 4 months so this was great news. Just paid the PR and sent off the receipt now we gotta wait for an original letter to request the federal police certs but it's awesome awesome to know someone is looking at it.

To those who are waiting for stage 1 approval still my heart goes out to you, I will keep my fingers crossed and hope it comes very soon. Good luck everyone!!!

Hi
Can u please tell me where u paid the PR? is it on CIC website or your V.O 's website?
Thanks

Hi! I paid it online through the CIC website. My VO had no link so I used the online option on CIC

@ mobeyk: any word from HK? We just spent a week in HK! Awesome time. The JW Marriott is an awesome hotel and we loved it so much. We took our son (9.5 months old), and he was a little superstar...90% of the time he was smiling and happy...only when he got really tired did he start to fuss...I love HK! It's so hard coming back to the mainland! Hope you and your wife are well and that you hear something from the HK VO ASAP!

Good luck, all!

Nothing new. I stayed away from the forum to not even think of the immigration process. Yay, the day i waited for is there. I fly tomorrow to Shanghai to meet my wife and visit Harbin. I am not thinking the same about China s many others do but well I compare it to Iran that is certainly a worst place to be. I like China and its culture.
i do not expect to hear anything from HK this year anymore. We are in for at least 6 months waiting time and that takes us to February after spring festival.

I understand your thinking Mobey K. Ive tryed to stay away a bit as well, its a long wait and you have to get on with life as it is for now. ::)

OMG it arrived!! It actually arrived! Our letter dated August 1st ACTUALLY ARRIVED!! And tis here! In Korea!! Clearly the mail takes 21 days from Canada to here! Luckily, I'd phoned the CIC and they'd told me a letter was on the way (rules that you can only call from Canada, be damned!! I called from a bar....in Korea....at midnight...although that's not a requirement, it was just where we happened to be at the time!). Annnnnnnnnnnnnnd now we wait...again....lol! :P

Congrats! The feeling is awesome!! Enjoy this time...and yes...the wait begins again...crazy!

As for staying away from the forum, I agree. I haven't been posting as much and I haven't been logging in very often as well. Life does go on and now that stage 1 is cleared, all that is left to do is wait...to be honest, I think the wait for stage 1 is more difficult because if you don't get approved, everything is ruined...stage 2 should be easy...just proof of intent to return to Canada and relationship proof...pretty straightforward...

Congratulation to everyone who got sponsorship approval and my prayers and heart goes to those waiting for a very long time to get there approval.

Could someone explain me why my sponsorship approval was sent to my wife the principle applicant instead of me the sponsor cos i was told first stage approval should come to the sponsor? My file was tranfer to my VO on July 27 2012 and i would like to know when can i request for CAIPS? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Perhaps you put her email address where it should have been yours or maybe it was just an error by the officer. I wouldn't worry about it. You can request your notes anytime.

the landing date coincides with the medical expiration date, so you'll have up until the date of the medical expiration to land. For some, that gives them several months to land, while others just a few days. But you can always land, then return home to tie up loose ends.
This may be a problem for me. We expect to Land after Xmas and my meds are good till the end of March. But my childrens Proof of Citizenship may take longer, although we did manage to get the London VO to mark it as Urgent for Expedited Processing, its supposed to take 12 - 15 months :o I could Land and return.....but who really wants to do that!!!

Hi guys ,

I was accepted to sponsor my husband, I think by now the application has been sent to the visa office in paris... (its been a month since i was accepted so i am sure its there by now)

I emailed the parisvisa office to update my husbands passport info (bc he got a new one) and I asked them some questions in the email, but they didnt respond to me at all. and I emailed this 3 weeks ago now.

I paid the first part of the fees (550) and was wondering how much is left for me to pay and how do I pay it, and which option do i click on to pay it? and do i send the receipt to the paris visa office?

Hey Saffy,

most VO don't respond to emails, so you just had to trust that it got there...
In total ( if you only sponsoring your husband) you need to pay 1040:
Right of permanent residence 490
Principal applicant 475
Sponsorship applciation 75.

So I assume that you have paid the two last ones - hence you should pay the right of permanent residence fee. It might delay your file if you don't pay it! so pay it right away, on the CIC website, then mail the copy of the receipt to CIC + to your VO with your file number etc.

Good luck with your process in Paris,
Sweden
