Sunshine87, in the spreadsheet you indicated I got my stage 2 AOR from visa office. We actually received our passport request today. I am not sure if this qualifies as an AOR too? I think New Delhi doesn't send out AORs. Can you please update the spreadsheet to correct this?

My mistake. I was multi-tasking and thought I double checked I put it as PPR. Thanks for catching it for me :)

Hello forum!
We got our two shiny CSQ after 20 calendars days!
We still waiting for the VO AOR.
Good afternoon for everyone.

TODAY MY WIFE GOT HER PASSPORT REQUEST E-MAIL FROM NEW DELHI!!! SHE IS SO HAPPY AND JUMPING THROUGH THE ROOF... I AM HAPPY AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!! JUST HOPE SHE GETS BACK HER VISA SOON TOO!!

<<< AWESOME NEWS >>>

I see several Pasport request statuses on the spreadsheet.... does that mean the PR is aproved and you just have to get the visa stamped and land?

If that is the case, WOW! and what the hell are all the other VO doing that they are so slow!!!

Some VO's ask for passports early on in the process ... but generally .. it wont take much longer after that ...
The CiC doesnt even have an estimated processing time for my VO (Amman, Jordan). Usually my application is supposted to go to Syria (Estimated 14 month processing time) but they CLOSED due to the revolution happening there. From what I hear the Amman VO is soooooo backed up that people on this forum are estimating a 16-18 month wait ... I cant wait that long :'(

I wonder if there is a way to change offices. I know some people who moved to Canada long time ago, had their PR processed in serval offices over the lenght of the process. I don't think that was intential or anyfaster in their case, but I'm just saying, it can be done, so MAYBE it can be requested... just a though.

Hi everybody.. I'm an April applicant as well and I came across this thread, and seems like a great place for all of us..

Our application was received on April 12, and since then no communication at all. Recently i tried logging into ecas with the receipt number, and for the first time i can see DECISION MADE under sponsorship application. It says a letter was mailed on July 12 - but we didnt get no letter at all! It's been over a month..

Under PR application status - it says application received & medical received. What does it mean? Did we get sponsor approval and is the file in Singapore? Call centres wont pick up.. its so confusing!

hey tamtam123,

congratulations! it looks like you have been approved, but you just never for the mail or the letter. Your file is in Singapore now, and you will have to wait for them to contact you - and it's a long wait with Singapore - but at least you have passed the first stage.

Also - welcome to the thread!
Best,
Sweden

Thanks so much Sweden.. Well that's a relief.. There is not much chance of decline there, is there?

hey tamtam123,

If you fit into the sponsorship criteria ( no criminal record, a PR or Canadian living in Canada, or Canadian outside of Canada but with strong proofs of settlement intentions), then you should be fine. If they had doubts about your case they would have contacted you, no denying you right away - so it looks like you are approved, and your file has been transferred to Singapore already on May 12th.

It's also consistent - my application was received 12th of April and approved 13th of May, very similar timeline.

If you are moving to Quebec, you will need the letter asap to be able to apply for CSQ ( only for Quebec residents). Now that it's been almost a month, you can contact CIC again and ask to resend the letter, if you want to have the proofs. If you had included your email address, you can check in the spam folder, just in case...

Good luck for stage 2,
Sweden

Called the CIC. Spoke to them for a bit then passed the phone over and they spoke to my boyfriend to confirm some details. They told us a decision was made and a letter sent aug 1st!!! Yay!! They gave us our uci number too so i logged in online and it's all there. Hopefully our letter turns up this week. Prob takes a long time cos we're in korea! The guy I spoke to was very helpful and nice. Got through first try too! Hopefully we'll have a 'yes' by the end of next week!! :)
