another way to do it is make the people working on late may early june work simultaneously on april and get the times from 90 days to 45 days down gradually... without jumping over 1,5 month... #justsaying

I think they are working from 2 processing centre's as has been stated from a lot of posters recently (Ottawa and Missisaugua) so they will leave 6 weeks or so with Miss April 11-May 25th and leave Ottawa with the other 6 weeks worth. They started doing this when February and March just became a complete mess and when the CIC status stayed the same for 3 or 4 weeks. They cannot let this happen again so I would assume Miss has half the apps and Ottawa has the other half. Therefore it is likely that you will say June being rolled forward from 1 centre and April and rest of May being rolled forward from another centre. Basically they have to get that 91 day period down (Look at last years spread sheets average 45 days) This allows them to work with a high volume of files quickly and also when completed is easy to file. If they did this and mixed April and May's together between 2 proccessing centres it would be a nightmare to file and would add to the waiting times. Expect more June applicants to receive AOR's in line with April 11th onwards until CIC has caught up which maybe end of July/ early August.

I guess what they are doing is working forward from May 25th onwards as well as processing late April and early May applicants. Their end goal is obviously to get that app waiting times right down to within 45 days so it looks like end of April and early May are the unlucky process but in 3-4 weeks time the processing times will be substantially lower than the 91 days. You cant argue with this method as July 2012 applicants and onwards will feel the full benefit of what they are doing now. February and March 2012 applicants had way too long to wait so this is the way logistically they can clear this backlog.

I am not so sure, or perhaps same theory using May 26 or the 28th suggested by another post. I'm a May 25th app and I'm still waiting. Quite patiently mind you, as I have August 24th circled on my calendar. It's ALL good! I'm just hanging with the April applicants thread bcoz it's very encouraging.

There are usually approvals and AORs happening after the published date. I think you'll get an AOR this week.

Yeah, I just hope to get an AOR on Friday and then approval on Monday!

According to the spreadsheet, someone who filed on April 13 got approval...so the rest of us mid-April applicants shouldn't be too far behind!! At least that's the hope!!!

Friends, Finally heard a good news from the agent saying that my application has been approved. Thanks for everyone for their kind support.

But unfortunately I haven't received my approval email. I did verified my email address with agent which seems to be correct and the agent says that they have sent an approval mail yesterday and they can't send another copy to me.

Should I ask them to resend an email to me via online request form ?

Well, we received an AOR today for our application, received by CIC April 12th.

The UCI doesn't work yet though. The email appears to have been sent from Mississauga.
