CIC recvd our application last april 10, according to Canada post.. thnx.... how long will all of us wait for our application to be started??? such a long wait, i think they are still working on january 2012 applicants...

84 days.

We (or rather, my husband) finally mailed our application yesterday, and the tracker has it out for delivery today.

Morning, finally sent off PR app on April 2. In true style we have lost the receipt so dont know when it was received!! Thanks to Leon we then realised that we had made an almighty mistake on the app and added our 5 children to a PR app when they should be applying for Proof of Citizenship!! :-[ ( Sent the Citizen apps on April 11). This has been all very frustrating and costly! Also the processing time has gone up to 84 days . Its gonna take forever. Good luck everyone.

So we have after 15 days in April 4 Applicants through London, 4 through Manila, 2 through Bufallo, 2 through Hong Kong and 1 through Berlin. We are all due around July 1st for sponsorship approval and than the real wait begins. Guess our European and US applicants will outrun us from Asia.
My application was received on April 10th Sunshine.

That totally sounds like something I would do.. loose the receipt! I'm sure it arrived fine. I added you to the spreadsheet, and just estimated the date it arrived at CIC.

It's a bit upsetting that they upped the time from 75 days to 84, and somehow went back a day. The wait is kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilling me!

We won't be able to access the Client Application Status system until Step 2 when the application is forwarded to the visa office... or so I've been told!

I am applying within Canada, sent my forms on Friday the 13th.

I have a question that I hope someone can answer.

I have sent my open work permit application with my forms as requested by CIC so that it extends my allowed time until I am either approved or not for sponsorship. Does anyone know how long it will be before I hear something as my six months runs out in June so I need to know before then.

Also my checklist said to post to Vegreville, I am sure this is correct but many people have sent to Mississauga whats the difference?

I now have an 11 month wait for stage 1 and a 8-9 month wait for stage 2 YAY lol.

It sounds like you are applying inland... in which case, Vegreville is correct. Mississauga is where those who are applying outland send their application.

I'm not sure how long until you'll hear about the open work permit. I bet if you skimmed through the inland applicant thread, or created a new thread with the question, you'd get your answer! =)

Hi Guys, Count me in as an April applicant also. I have been posting in the March thread as I didn't see this one. My processing office is Sydney, and my application went out on April 8th. Sunshine could you add me to the spreadsheet please?
