I know its a few days early but I think we all need early encouragement. My wife and I apply for PRV. She is from Zhuhai Mainland China and we go through the Hong Kong Office. We know eachother now for 19 months and married 9 months ago. I am about to finish the final touches on the application and pay the fee. Everything should be done and couriered by April 1st. Than the hopefully less than 19 months waiting starts. So join in and share your story and lets go through this together and give each other hope. We certainly need encouragement from within us. Good luck for everybody.

I send it via UPS store on the 26th in Alberta but its kind of a fake as they use a 3rd party company called "Loomis" to ship the package. Thought UPS is the same worldwide ? Since three days the package is still in Edmonton and has not moved anywhere. So won't arrived at CiC before April.

My application is Outland over Berlin but I stay in Edmonton during the whole process with Tourist Visa Extension(s).

Viel Glueck Pummelchen. Am besten ist es Express Post mit Canada post oder Purolator zu senden.( Its best to send with Express Mail Canada Post or Purolator)

Excited that its April, it means its finally time for us to apply! We are applying outland, to Mexico City.

I hope all pay special attention to their police certificates. Check if a original police certificate is requested in your country specific checklist. We apply through Hong Kong/China but did not get the original Police certificate back after translation and notarization through the Notary office as they mysteriously keep it and had to rerequest a original certificate. Maybe best way is in such case to ask for two original Police Certificate, even if it costs extra and the officers scratch their heads.

good day MOBEYK! to what address will you send your application? My wife in Edmonton will probably send our application on the 2nd week of April. If She choose to send it thru Express Mail, should she use the PO box address? or is it better to send it thru courier? i think there's a different address for courier.

For mailing through Canada Postal Services
Spouses, common-law or conjugal partner and dependent children:
CPC Mississauga
P.O. Box 3000, Station A
Mississauga, ON
L5A 4N6
For couriers:
Courier address (no public drop-offs)
2 Robert Speck Parkway,
Suite 1200
Mississauga, ON
L4Z 1H8
Fax: 905-803-7392
Couriers do not drop off at a postal box, so they need the Courier address.
Hope this helps

I live right beside Mississauga, is there anyway I can drop it off myself instead of mailing the package? Has anyone done that before?

good question

Mail it in and courier it in and you have a receipt as proof you have sent it. Of course CIC does not want to deal with people walking in. It should make no difference, just mail or courier it.

I just mailed our application today and I am hoping CIC will received it by monday. GoodLuck April applicants!

I'm sending it by courier...overnight or whichever is the fastest.

Hopefully I will know if my sponsorship has been accepted by the first week of June. Once that is done, I hope my wife will have her visa by early February 2013. My job offer specifies I should be available to start work before October 2013, so hopefully this will push things along...

FS

Sure it will be done before October 2013. I shoot for April 2013. 2 months stage 1 and 10 months stage 2. Could be realistic.

I work for UPS.. and I still don't fully understand how they work. I think that if you're shipping between two Canadian cities UPS uses 3rd parties to move packages since they don't fly their planes between Canadian cities.

Anyways, I sent our app to Mississauga yesterday, so we're April applicants as well! We're applying outland and my husbands visa office is Buffalo. We got married in November 2011. He's still living in the US until who knows when =/

can I join too? I'm from the Philippines and my wife is a PR in Edmonton. She's still waiting for her Option C printout before she send our application, today is the 8th day of waiting for it. they said it should take 5 to 10 days.. Our visa office is in Manila, is anyone here from the Philippines?
