I think Ottawa ran out of applications. March is seeing a standstill. I am assuming the end of March is at Mississauga. Maybe first half of April will be sent to Ottawa. That is good for you, FS!

cpc ottawa approves application march 27 2012
hope ottawa approves more of them and cpc Mississauga moves fast with applications of march

I'm suspecting that they will separate the files. The first half of the month go to Ottawa, and the second half stay in Miss. I agree that the 82 days is BS, at least from Miss.

Hopefully April will be processed in Ottawa. I am so tired of waiting!

It's like they're playing leap frog.

Already processing 27th of march. yay, so another 10 days? 14 days? to April 10-14th. It will be end of June beginning July. Would be a good Canada day gift.

No they didn't approve the March 27 applicant. It was just an AOR.

But if it was an AOR from Ottawa, then they are still doing the rest of March there.

Looks like it but they skipped a bunch! Just like with feb. So I think middle march is at Mississauga.

My wife and I just applied for our son's exit visa from China (1-year multiple entry). In China, even though the child does not have any official Chinese documents (e.g. citizenship card, household register, passport, birth certificate shows that he is Canadian, etc), they still consider him/her to be Chinese! Outrageous! I told the officer that he is 100% Canadian as evidenced by his passport and citizenship document (both from Canada), but she insisted that he is 100% Chinese and not Canadian. Can you believe that crap??!! Anyways, he needs this exit permit to be allowed (again, outrageous) to leave China. Without it, he would be barred from leaving the country. The exit permit looks like a passport and we'll need that plus his Canadian passport to leave the country. I was very polite to the Chinese officer, but inside I was enraged that the Chinese government would still consider him a Chinese citizen.

Anyways, this exit permit will arrive in a week. Once we have that, we can come and go without any problems for up to 1 year. Hopefully my wife will have her visa within 8 months and we can get the hell out of here!

This is normal in many countries FS. No need to be upset about Chinese Government. I think they do not recognize dual citizenship like Canada. Your child is born to a Chinese mother in China. Your child is officially Chinese in China and Canadian and Chinese from Canada's point of view.

Oh, I never knew that! But it was more the officer's attitude; she was very rude to me. She could have explained by simply saying, "Yes, your son is a Canadian citizen, but we will consider him a Chinese citizen until he leaves the country. If he ever returns to China, he can apply for a visa like you (me)." Anyways, he is Canadian and no government can take that away from him! They can call him Chinese all they want, but he is not and never will be a citizen of China. My wife also feels very strongly about this...

Sorry, mobeyk, I've been in China (mainland) for WAY too long! We should have left a few years ago. There are many things I love about this place, but also many things I absolutely hate! It's just time to go...

At least we will have that permit and can 'escape' the clutches of China. We are both dying to get the hell out of here!!

When you start to feel the way you do about a place, it only gets worse, not better. Everything will begin to get to you, layer upon layer.
But it won't be for too much longer. You'll have your Visas soon. :-*

Ain't that the truth.

A lot on my plate at the moment, so it's also probably the stress that's starting to get to me. I've met a lot of really cool people here; it's not all bad. I guess I'm just dying to be home. Left Canada when I finished university, so it's time to settle down for good.

I've discovered that driving here puts me in a bad mood.

Sorry for the rant.

No worries about the rant FS....I had a few yesterday myself ;)

I love the community we have here. It's so great because we all have something in common and we will for the rest of our lives.

Thanks, guys!

I hope they get on to April first half by end of June !

I absolutely agree, I so hope there will be plenty of like minded people when we finally land. :)
