They updated the CIC website. Taking 90 days and says they are working on applications from Feb 15th 2012

Well thats 8 days forward, seems to go a week every week, but i think the forum is a better way to gauge it, seems almost all Jan are approved, feb are about 80% approved and now some in March, I think if you have a pretty good case that they dont need to look into it goes quickly, so fingers crossed, I think we will start to see April approvals sometime around the end of June :) thats my hope anyhow !

I think the same, and that would be wonderful :)

Wahooo 4 people in March have gotten 1st step approval now, ooooh this is a really good sign !!!! Our time is coming guys :)

I think it's up to 5 people from March have gotten approval. The last one I saw had his/her app received on March 9! Awesome!

I'm really hopeful that we start seeing April approvals late June early July! I can't wait to get the approval!!

Then it's just a matter of hoping the VO in Hong Kong recognizes that our marriage is legit and processes my wife's visa quickly so we can get the hell out of here!!!

Oh, and our son just turned 7 months! He has started trying to crawl! One more month and I am on holiday for 6 weeks and I can't wait to spend more time at home!!

Happy Friday everyone and let's hope for the best!

FS, the crawling phase is so fun. My daughter crawled at 7 months. Now she's spinning and running at 18 months.

6 weeks of vacation is nice! That will help time pass quickly!

Yeah, it's exciting to watch him develop. The one GREAT thing is that he has slept through the night from birth...if he does wake up, he stays quiet and then eventually goes back to sleep! I can't wait for him to start speaking! "Dad, why does mom have two chins instead of one?" "I'm not sure, son, why don't you ask your mom?"....Only joking, my wife has lost all the baby fat and is in excellent shape...I have no idea how Asians do it! They lose weight so quickly....

My dad was just in China. He said they are so thin over there. Then he went to Hong Kong and saw a lot of chubby Asians. It is the Americanized diet, according to him! What do you eat?

Sleeping through the night from birth, you lucked out! My daughter was easy after 7 weeks but month 6 to month 9 was very rough. I was very sleep deprived, but she is worth it. Now she sleeps 12 hours every night.

I give up on trying to understand how CIC calculates their processing times. I find it funny how they say they're working on Feb 15th, yet the one person whose application was received on Feb 15th is yet to get approval. And there's about 10 people who sent theirs after who have been approved. I realize there's probably plenty others who have applied that aren't on the forums who we don't have account for. I picture the individual responsible for updating the times to be a chimpanzee in overalls punching in random numbers on the keyboard. Heh, that's an amusing thought!!

In my opinion, babies are at their cutest between 7-12 months. So pudgy and playful!

it has been 52 days since CIC received our application.. few more days before approval! positive thoughts ;D

Seems like 1 more month and we are the ones who get approvals. Tomorrow is our anniversary. Hope we can celebrate it next year together.

I was reading the CIC 2011 Annual Report and it made me mad to read this:

As of the end of June 2011, 75 percent of the overseas Family Class applications were processed within the 12 month service standard and 80 percent were processed within 15 months. It is anticipated that the new 12 month service standard will be met by March 2012.

March 2012??? are they kidding? So much money is received by this department and their service level is nonexistent with no accountability, who do we tax payers complain to? Sorry guys I'm frustrated today, I can't believe how long it's taking... it's not a $10 service we're paying for

Most people get their visa in WAY under a year.

Oh I know, it's just frustrating how the time jumped up with no explanation not even a consistent update every week, I mean come on, for the amount of money they receive... to quote their report that family reunification remains a key objective for them, I don't see how that is reflected with a 3 month wait for stage 1
