Which means you got AOR, and no more than one week you will get approval.

doesn't necessarily mean an AOR was issued, just that the info has been updated in the system.. which usually happens on Tuesdays.

E-cas updated for the first time. It only states that application received on 17th April though, no more than that.

you should be hearing something very soon! :D

hi
my husband in canada(sponsor) got an approval letter via email (yeah!!!!) and
my application has been sent to manila visa office

what do we do next?
how long do we have to wait for the next update?

thanks!!!!!!

Congratulations on the approval - now not much to do! :-) apart from the usual waiting... Then it really depends on your VO. Some send an AOR when they get the file, some don't.... some VO request the passport at the beginning, others rather towards the end... Maybe you can check on the thread for Manilla? They should know more....Manilla VO seems to have 8 months processing time according to the website, but I'm sure a lot of cases get done before that.

Good luck!

actually i could call it tragic that it takes them 3 months to open the file and a couple of hours to approve. i mean, come on !!!

Hoping this is a good week for april - we deserve it!

true! :-) it's funny how we just all adapted to a different scale with CIC! It seems that things are getting better for May and June people who gets AOR quicker, and fast approval as well - I wish it had been the same for me, but well.... Happy for the others!

I sent my application in April 16-20 2012 ( depending on Canada post ), and yet to hear anything ... anyone sent theirs later and have received approval ?

Waited almost 3 months, that was easy ... these next few days .. are unbearable

It has been over a week since I received AOR, with absolutely no word on stage 1 approval. I've called several times today, to be disconnected each time. Has anybody had to wait over a week after receipt of AOR???

Totally normal.

Guys come on, don't be that negative... we can't do anything other than just waiting... so be more patient and good result will come to you. Please remember a couple things here:

1. There was no way that your cases got lost by CIC so no worry about that.
2. Approval of the first stage should be pretty staight forward and I haven't heard anyone failed during this stage so it is just the matter of time...
3. keep your eyes away from your email, CIC website and this forum for a couple days and you will get some surprises when coming back.

Cheers for all the Aprils
