yes they will inform u, after they start processing your application...
my wife sent our application thru Canada Post, and paid an extra fee so someone in CPC-M could sign for it. And when my wife checked her tracking number, it says it has been delivered there successfully and somebody signed for it.... she did that because she just want to make sure it will not be lost... hopefully..

Im from Manila going to Vancouver.. My husband sent our application April 23 assuming that it'll be delivered after two days. It has tracking number, too.. Hope, they could open our application so we can start our life together...
