I actually started that thread; received a few responses but still hoping for more. Especially since most of the people who replied had already completed the process, I was hoping for updates from people still in the process (for the sake of current information and all).

True enough, especially for those living away from their spouse. For my part, the endless waiting is causing my wife to be unable to return to Japan to visit with family despite someone there being terminally ill. Kinda hard to arrange two week's travel when you're expecting a request for your passport.

But I recognize that it's a small hardship compared to those who are living apart from their spouse.

Just an update on our application,

I received my AOR requesting for my passport and police clearance. Letter dated June 20, 2011.

no i know you are but you are going to drive yourself crazy with the daily count. i am not trying to stop you from sharing thoughts or feelings i am trying to help prevent you from going crazy. the countdowns slow down time and cause insanity.. ...but if it helps u then go nuts.....hahaha no pun intended
