Yes, it will be a while before we see July applicants pour in. Many will be out as their NOC is not there in the list even though they might have everything in place as per old rules, there will be new people for new NOC but they will need sometime to get used to the Immigration rules and obviously the requirement of IELTS and PCC and FBI clearance certificate will put them back gear as it will take a while to collect. And also collection of Reference letters and arrangement of proof of funds will take sometime.
It is really intersting that currently, FBI is taking about 16 weeks to process the applications and one can not send Immigration application without it (that is who need it )... so more the delay in receiving the report from FBI the chances of applicants will diminish as the quota of 1000/NOC will get filled. Mind you the FBI report may or may not be in your favour as they may ask for fresh fingerprints as the earlier ones were not readable which again means a wait for 16 weeks.
My analysis:
1. Revenue collection increases due IELTS.
2. Revenue collection for courier services because I am sure applicants will be more careful this time and send prepaid envelopes (FEDEX). Well, this will also assure that their reports are not misplaced or lost and they receive it faster than the regular mail.
3. Revenue collection at the fingerprinting services as I am sure people will send couple of fingerprints to avoid rejection.
At CIO:
1. Officers will have time to assess the past applications. It is not only FSW but they have to assess the CEC and the provincial applications and other category as well.
2. Observed (on the forum) many of the pre 2008 applications assessed. Actually, I observed a ping-pong situation between the movement of applications in the old category and new category. One week it is the old applications that got some movement then the next week it is the new category. It is purely my observation through this forum.
Suggestions to new applicants:
And Permeate the information to all your friends.
1. Book for atleast two IELTS exam... so that if your result for the 1st one is not good then you have the other one booked well in advance and not wait in queue. You always have the opportunity to cancel the 2nd booking, though you will have to pay some fees and sometimes if the cancellation is not done within the time period then you may not get anything back. But you atleast have some surety to access the 2nd booking if something went wrong or want to better the previous score.
2. Send couple of FBI fingerprints to avoid rejection and loss of time.
3. Start collecting Reference letters very specific to job duties.
4. Start collecting Proof of funds. This wil be another tough situation because it will surely take a long time to arrange that kind of money in Bank and produce Bank statements. Earlier applicants got sometime to arrange in the 120 day period but now that provision is gone. Even for selling property, it is bound to take time.
Caution: VO is cracking down on the POF. No borrowing at any cost. Will need to show proof, incase of large deposit in account (this is valid for current applicants as well). Keep the amount till you get visa stamped.
I have a feeling that Canada is screening immigrants as never before and thus the stringent rules which they are following very diligently.
For current aplicants, we have to be extra careful when we submit our FULL DOCS to VO... they are hell bent to screen out at the pretext of smallest mistake or looking for further scrutiny for the NOC candidates who are not in the list. My logic is, since the NOC codes are out in the current list, there is a surplus or no requirement of these skills any more (according to their requirements) so they are being extra hard on them.
I don't want to scare the current applicants... but it is something to be aware of when we put together our FULL docs for VO.
Don't jeopardise your application by giving any kind of false information... you will be banned for 2 yrs.
