Thanks a lot for the reply. We( me n my wife) have posted the application on 6th april 2010 under FSW (4121) , but like i said it was through speed post(EMS) we don not know the exact date when it reached the CIO . But our tension started when we enquired the bank about our DD , and they said it is not yet encashed. Does this mean that our process will be delayed ?

This might help u man,,, EMS post from India usually takes anything between 15-20 days to deliver the package. If u sent it on 6, I guess it was delivered between 22nd to 27th April, so you might be in que, as other people in that date range. Cross your fingers, and wait for another week or so. But keep trying that number, you might hear something from them on mon or tues (canadian time EST).

Hi Karen,

1.Did you have a tracking number for the package or did you send by normal mail?
2.No, you dont have to re-submit with IELTS results.
3.Your application will not be affected by the new rules because I am sure your package must have been received by CIO.
4. You can check the status of your application by calling them. Please refer to pg82 of this thread and check Saki's response on how to call CIO.

Hello everyone! I am kindda confused with the new rules of canada immigration as of today. I am an April 2010 applicant and still waiting for my AOR. Am I affected with the 1,000 quota per profession per year?? They said the rule will apply on and after June 26, 2010. I still have no file number as of today. Please help me. I am worried

A big NO... Rules apply to the applicant where application reached to CIC, NS after 26th June, 2010.

Hence this doesn't apply to you. All the very best.

saki, thanks a lot! need help guys on securing the docs for the visa office. do i need to fill-up the new IMM-008 form, submit the bank certificate, 6 pcs pictures, police clearance and bank certificate to the VO with the rest of the supporting docs? sorry for my ignorance im doing this without a representative and im currently here in jeddah. thanks for all your help!

Hi Annie,

As long as i know the document checklist is the same as before only changes they have made is in the first stage applications where now you to send the PCC and IELTS result, so yes you will need to fill the form, bank certificate and pictures.

No you are not effected by new rules your applications was received before 26th June so you will be treated under old rules.

Hi,

Currently they are looking for applications received around 20th April so it will take sometime before you receive any response, secondly it depends how quickly you submit your full docs and what your visa office is, different offices have different time frames but mainly between 6-12 months.

Today i received an email from CIC , MY NOC Code was 0213 and i wrote subcode 2147 , they are saying that 2147 is not in the NOC list , can any one help me or guide me to carify this to CIC that NOC 2147 is the subcode of 0213 , or how can i appeal against this ...........................plzpzlzpzlzl help me to fix this
