Hi!
I believe that if you are applying as a skilled worker, you should be able to complete your entire application yourself. I don't think you would need to hire a consultant if you know how to research for information on the CIC website. All instructions have been given clearly. Besides, with a great forum like this, people are always helping each other by sharing their stories and even their mistakes. I know of some people who even provide help and support through messages and long emails. Be rest assured, you can do it yourself. Just read the instructions and follow them. When in doubt, post a question!

Wish you the best.
Regards,
STS

Names in native language are assesed or required for background check at your local Visa Office. So your application may not be returned by CIO, Sydney for this reason. However do submit the same when you get the AOR-120 days call to your local Visa Office.

Where are you from? I mean where are you based?

However, have anybody heard about refusing the application for the further assessment after the credit card was charged?

1- IF U DIDNT MENTIONED UR FAMILY NAMES IN NATIVE LANGUAGE IN INITIAL APPLICATION THAN IT FINE WHEN U'LL SEND UR FINAL DOCUMENTS THAN YOU CAN WRITE IN APPLICATION.
2- NORMAL TIME FOR FIRST AOR IS 1 1/2 - 2 MONTHS

INITIAL APPLICATION AND IELTS

I HAVE APPLIED TO CIC, SYDNEY, IN MY APPLICATION FORM I HAVE STATED HIGH PROFICIENCY IN ALL FOUR SECTION OF ENGLISH.
1) MY RECENT IELTS RESULT STATES HIGH PROFICIENCY IN THREE SECTION AND MODERATE ON ONE SECTION OF IELTS.
2) WITH THIS IELTS RESULT I STILL SCORE 67 POINTS

NOW QUESTION IS,

•DO I HAVE TO RE TAKE THE IELTS TO GET HIGH PROFICIENCY IN ALL FOUR IELTS SECTION?

I am also waiting for my AOR . I have a hectic few months ahead now.

I have to

1. Arrange passport for my 2 month baby
2. Transcripts
3. Previous work, current work , reference
4. Get change of address endosed to my passport
5. Apply for a re-placement pssport for my husband as his is lost

I think other than funds, I have to arrange evrything else. ha ha

Re: INITIAL APPLICATION AND IELTS

Answer: as long as you get 67 points there is no need to attempt IELTS again..... there is always variation between self assesment and actual IELTS scores..... but u can have another go just to be on a safe side and secure more than 67 points..........since any mistake from VO in calculating points will cause you time lost although u can always challenge their mistakes to VO program manager....
