The CIO (NS) official referred this intimation from CIO(NS) to applicants as "Assessment letter" or email.

I think "AOR" would mean -Acknowledgement of receipt which is different from what we are expecting to receive from CIO(NS) because at CIO they would have "Assessed" our applications and guide us for further processing.

This is my understanding.

Hi All April Applicants:

Just thought of releasing some of the stress off the April applicants.

I made a call (Edmonton time,12 Noon)to CIO,NS regarding the timeline for issuing the Assessment letters and I was informed that they have begun (starting today i.e 15th June,Canada)to send out letters for Applications that were received on 9th April at NS.

I hope we can expect our long due "letter" in email soon....

Hi,

Its now two months for all applicants whose applications were received on or after 14th April and their CC/DD still not charged, its frustrating really , if they are going to take 1 more month after charging CC/DD then April end applicants will be getting their AOR in 4 months timeeeeee................. ???

UPDATE: I have deleted imran007 from the list as he does not belong to the list, he has already send his full doc to visa office and waiting for 2nd AOR.

Salam All.

First make the steps clear about the immigration procedure hierarchy of the for the Skilled Worker Category.

Step #1. Fill out the Forms, Make DD or Provide CC details for fee, along with bio data and initial requirements of details and send it to CIO or London..

Step #2. wait for the "Acknowledgement Letter" from the Immigration Office ( Finalize that if you are eligible or not )..

Step #3. Once you get the "Acknowledgement Letter" then prepare your complete application ( your Educational Docs, nikah nama & Its Translation in Engllish or French, Bay-Form & Its Translation in Engllish or French, I.d Cards Its Translation in Engllish or French, passport copy and Work Experiences) and send to the Mentioned VISA office.

Step #4. Wait for the AOR (Acknowledgement Of Receipt) of you Application Received at the Mentioned VISA office.

Step #5. When you receive the AOR then you have to wait again or send any other requested document.

Step #6. Wait for the Medical Request.

Step #7. when get Medical request then submit the Requested Medical Reports.

Step #8. Now you will be requested to pay the Landing Fee.

Step #8. When you pay the Landing Fee then wait for the Original Passport Request (for VISA Sticker)

Step #9. You will get the Original Passport sending request then send it ti the VISA office.

Step #10. You will Soon Get back the Passpor with the Immigrant VISA... ANNNDDDDDD You Can FFLLYYYYYYYYYY to CA.

Cases of April 2010 are to much late and no progress is seen.It is the news from my consultant that CIC will short the list of 38 categories within 15 days and i am of the fear that application of april may be returned which does not fall in the new list.Pls comment.
