I would suggest that unless you find that you have made some mistake in the application form and want to know the corrective measures directly from CIO, you should wait for at east 65-70 days before making a call to CIO.
I suggest this because the person/s answering your calls wont know about your application status unless your application processing has started and the same has been updated on their system with a assigned file number. This may happen before you actually get the initial response form CIO as the file number must assigned at the start of the processing regardless of the outcome of the scrutiny of the application.
Now in case your application processing is not started yet then the agent answering your phone may have to inquire about your case through an internal email to the processing officer which I dont think she will do unless you have some important addition/correction in the form.
of course the above is my calculated guess work based on what I read in the other forum topics and how normally an office with such work load works. (Oops !! This sounds as a disclaimer
