1- For FSW-1 there s no need for Income Tax Returns (ITR)...I guess client`s ref letters and his business ownership certificate`notarized copy and his business card would do the trick as long as his work is concerned.

2- No. you just have to notarize copies of first two pages of passports which have your pics, your name, address, place of birth, date of birth etc. No need to send copies of old passport. your latest passport`s required.

Government of Canada announces 2011 immigration plan
Ottawa, November 1, 2010 — The Government of Canada will maintain high immigration levels to help sustain the economic recovery, Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney announced today upon tabling the annual immigration plan in Parliament.

It is estimated that Canada will welcome between 240,000 and 265,000 new permanent residents in 2011. Sixty percent of these immigrants will come through economic streams.

“Canada's post-recession economy demands a high level of legal immigration to keep our work force strong,” he said. “At the same time, we are maintaining our commitment to family reunification and refugees.”

Like many other countries with ageing populations and low birth rates, in the not too distant future Canada will not have enough people to keep our work force growing. While the majority of new entrants to our labour force will continue to come from within Canada, without immigration, the size of our work force will shrink. Within the next five years, all of our labour force growth will come from immigration.

Highlights of the 2011 immigration plan include a higher range of admissions for spouses and children in the family category. In keeping with recent reforms to Canada's refugee system, the 2011 plan also includes an additional 1,125 refugees resettled in Canada as part of the commitment to increase total refugee resettlement by 2,500 over three years. In 2008, the last year for which figures are available, Canada resettled more bona fide refugees than any country but the United States. Canada resettles over one in 10 of the world's refugees.

“These refugees are selected and screened by Canada, and come here legally,” noted Minister Kenney. “We look forward to giving them a safe, new beginning.”

Within the economic category, the 2011 plan balances projected admissions between federally and provincially selected workers to meet Canada's national and regional labour market needs. Provincial programs help distribute the benefits of immigrants across the entire country. Twenty-five percent of economic immigrants are now destined for provinces other than Ontario, British Columbia and Quebec, compared to 11 percent in 1997.

The Federal Skilled Worker Program remains a significant portion of the economic category. The program admits a range of workers, including technicians, skilled tradespersons, managers and professionals, who help to supplement the Canadian-born work force.

The annual immigration plan is part of Citizenship and Immigration Canada's annual report tabled in Parliament by November 1 each year.

Observations:

1- Almost 160,000/ immigrants in 2011 will be from Economic categories and major bulk of that comes from FSW-1. Lets say around 80-85%. which means approx 136,000/ will be from FSW-1. Now they have capped apps to 20,000/ from 26th june-10 to 30th june-11. so figure still comes to around 106000/ immigrants from pre 26th june-10 rules..
2- i guess this is great news for all of us.

Hi,

Haral advise you correctly ITR is not required but visa officer can ask for it later stage if he needs to but a very rare chance, the documents you have should be ok to verify the employment.

Passport copy no need to send notarised just first 2 pages.

Cheers
Saki

If anyone in this thread had their application LOST BY CIO, please post your details on the thread "LOST APPLICATIONS". We are hearing of a number of Post 26/6 apps that were received by CIO and now they have no idea where they are. This is serious and we wish to get a sense of the number involved. Anyone directly affected is encouraged to make their concerns known to the Minister. Thanks.

Hi Satnak,

No problem at all if your statement is in INR , you can just mention its equivalent value in CAD in your cover letter as at the date of your application.

You can use the below reliable set to get exact exchange rate at any specific date

Good Luck,

Thanks Moataz for quick reply.

For 4 members it is 20599 CAD what they require. As of today it comes out to be INR 906,793. So will they take this figure as MUST HAVE/SUFFICIENT FUNDS value irrespective of CAD/INR conversion rate?

the best advice i can give you on this is to show and keep an amount which is slightly above the required funds as per today`s conversion rate. atleast thats whaat i am doing. 1 CAD is equivalent to something around 84.56 PKR (Pakistani rupees). so i have shown funds in PKR after calculating CAD`s future value around 87 pak ruppes.

Bottom line = keep it above whats required.

Yeah we have taken 1 CAD = INR 50 for safer side. But in case it goes higher than 50, will they ask for more and also for 4 members it is 20599, so if they raise this bar, will that effect us?

Another important concern. I have read much about high bands in IELTS for 4131. Mine is L-6.5, S - 6, R,W - 5.5. From all the recent posts about IELTS, I am getting worried about my scores and now when I am about to send my docs, I can't make it what to do?Stick with this score or reapply for IELTS?

if you have atleast 300 to 400 cad above whats required than i guess with the Indian economy you dont need to worry. as far as IELTS is concerned you should have atleast two meduims and two high bands. now denying a app on the basis of IELTS is somehting which has happened in 4131 but depends solely on visa officer`s discretion. why dont you try another IELTS & improve scores? and send it after you have submitted your full app to avoid any risks.

I have around CAD 23000 as POF, now if at later stage ,lets say 2-3 months or when ever they check with bank it comes down to 22K or 21K, where as in my bank letter provided with my app, it says 23K , would that effect my app?
