Hi Navali, navali said:For applicants whose applications reached to CIO before 26th June, they fall under old rules. As per old rules, your PCC should be issued within 03 months period from the date of your application submission to CIO.
For Example if Your application reached CIO on 1st May 2010, the PCC should NOT be issued before 1st Feb 2010.
However, the only issue is many PCC (from Pakistan, India, FBI) dont mention any expiry date. However PCC from UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi) mention an expirt date of 03 months.
Saki / Mitali / Seniors please help us on this particulary about UAE PCCs. If some PCC specifically mention expiry date and that date comes before submitting full docs to VO, should we get new or still they are okay?
Regards
If the PCC specifically mention an expiry date then you will have to provide a new one because for obvious reasons expired PCC's will not be accepted. CIC website requests applicants to do the research for "Time" required to acquire a PCC from their respective countries. The burden is on the applicants to be able to get a valid PCC when they send their full docs to VO. The issue does not end here.... if the validity of your PCC expires while "Processing your application" then you might be requested to get another PCC.
So just be sure that you are sending a valid PCC to VO and wait patiently for VO's verdict. There is not much you can do about it.
