Approval letter

Hi there,
I have been see on my file that I was approved !! ( yea ) on January 6th 2014 , they said they mailed my letter. To date I have not seen it.
I have emailed and phoned to see what can be done, but have had no luck yet.
Does anyone know who or where I can ask to re - send my letter ?
Can I change the address to a different one that it can be sent to ? can they send it first class where ei have to sign for it ? Or can my husband drive to Ottawa and pick it up ?
Please help..

I believe that the AIP letter (to sponsor) and DM (to the applicant) are both emailed to the respective recipient.

I'm not sure which approval you have received, but...have you both checked your junk/spam email folders?

when I called they said I was approved . and that the letter was mailed ..
He said I need that original letter to cross the border . I have a hard time believing it takes 3 weeks to US from Ottawa . I asked them if they have the right address , which they do, so I wonder if it is lost in the mail ? I want it to be resent . Trying to find the right email address to ask for it to be resent...

Congrats to your approval.
I applied the same day as you. I didn't know that I could have applied through Ottawa, too. Instead I applied through Vienna and my GCMS notes from last week say that they haven't even started processing it...

My last letter I received from the USA took about 3 weeks or even longer. So it COULD be that it takes so long but I think it SHOULD be faster. Good luck that you receive it soon

Ooops...I guess you applied Outland. Based on the dates shown under your profile (which are a bit confusing), I somehow thought you were an Inland applicant.

Perhaps approval letters for Outland are not sent via email.

I'm assuming that when you say letter, you are actually referring to the COPR, the document needed to land as a PR.

You can try emailing CPP-O with subject "URGENT - COPR Not Received" or something like that. ottpilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca

If they don't respond and you still haven't received it in another week, have your husband contact his MP to inquire on your behalf and give CIC a little push.

I concur that you should e-mail CPP-O.

Assuming they sent you an e-mail (they usually do before sending the CoPR), the best way to do so is to reply to the latest e-mail they sent you. Do not change the subject and your e-mail will be routed to the person who sent you the last e-mail (vs. going into the general queue). In the e-mail, tell them that the call centre advised you that the CoPR was mailed to you on x date and that you haven't received it. They can then confirm the date it was sent (not necessarily the same day that eCase shows as 'approved') and decide whether to void it and send you a new CoPR.

I will do that, have my husband contact his Mp in Burlington , Ontario to see if anything can go that way. Thanks

k husband wrote MP for area, will see how that goes now. Ughh the wait and all is terrible. Knowing that I have been approved , and waiting for the official letter only sucks.
