Hello everyone,

My sister who holds a Pakistani passport currently works and resides in UK. Her husband has Indefinite Visa Card for UK and soon will be applying for British Passport.

My sister wants to visit parents (quite old) and me during Summer Holidays with her two kids and a husband. She holds a permanent full time position at a school.
She applied visitor visa 10 years ago but it was rejected because her husband was still on a student visa in the UK and she wasn’t working either.

I own a house and a stable job as a social worker in Canada. I want to send an Afidavit of Support that would assist her in the application process. If anyone has a template that I can follow, it would be great. My parents haven’t seen them in about 2 years and they are very old to travel and visit them. Last year my sister had to visit states to meet my prents and I drove my parents to Buffalo so they could see her. This is the most they can travel. My dad has a heart condition plus a pacemaker installed.

Any help or tips would be appreciated.

Did your sister go to the US with her family 2 years ago or by herself. What is the status of your parents in Canada?

You can try again this year after their US trip. Your support doesn’t really matter. It is their ties and finances that are what really count. Given you have so much family in Canada that creates more of a problem versus a benefit.
