Hi everyone. I am currently living and working in US. I landed as a permanent resident Dec 7th 2017, and went back to US right after for work. I later got married end of December. My wife is from Pakistan and she came to US with me on dependent visa. Now we are finally ready to move to Canada. I can go easily with my PR but I wanted advise on how my wife can join me. Should I apply for her visit visa first so we can both go to Canada together and then sponsor her from there? Will she get a visit visa under these circumstances? Do I have other options, I don't want her to wait in Pakistan until her sponsorship application is processed?

She can apply for a TRV but with a PR spouse and no permanent status in her current country of residence, chances are low. She will likely need to return to Pakistan while you come to Canada and apply for sponsorship.
If she does get a TRV, she can come to Canada with you as a visitor and you guys can apply for sponsorship.
Correct me if I am wrong but an additional point worth noting might be that because OP is a PR they must be living inside of Canada to sponsor someone
Correct. That's why I said she will likely have to go to Pakistan while he goes to Canada.
Thank you for the advice. One more question. I want to apply for her TRV, incase we get lucky. But if her TRV gets refused, is it at all going to affect our sponsorship application?
