Applying for Supervisa within Canada

Finally CPC-O replied to my 2nd email which I sent them a few hours ago. They have advised to send the passport.
I am going to send it via Xpresspost to:
Temporary Resident Visa Section
CPP - Ottawa (e-Application)
PO Box 9640
Ottawa, ON, K1G 6T2
as per https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account/where-submit-passport.html#C

Oh wow, @Bryanna reading @Nunuc posts definitely makes me stress out a little bit more then I had been. I will definitely have to reread it some more to fully understand but there are definitely some differences in their application and my friends that concerns me over the answer we may get on my friends application.
My friend has been to the U.S.A on a visitor visa to see his mom, and last year he worked in Canada and the U.S.A and he returned back to SA every time which is good.
Family ties, his mom is in the U.S.A but his dad, and extended family are all in SA, so he has no family ties here in Canada.
I believe they applied with proof that the flights including returning were already paid for, but other then that, do to his travelling and just how he is, he has never had a bank account so there for couldnt send any bank statements.
However in the invitation letter I put all of my info and live in a house with my family of 5 and stated my 2 brothers jobs, my job and wage, as well as my parents jobs (which are jobs that pay very well) and we had stated we as a family will provide him with staying here rent free, as well as all food, necessities, tourism, and any other costs.
He did state he works on his aunts farm but has no property, or vehicles to his name. As well as no bank statement. But his travel history and everything else is good and clear. His application has been looked at and not immediately denied which is good, do you think we have a chance?

Also forgot to state that I am a canadian citizen as well as my family if that helps in any way.
Each application is unique. That OP's parents had stated the intention to visit multiple times in the future with stays of three months on each visit. I'm also guessing they had stated they would like to visit to take care of the OP's child and his spouse = Working illegally while visiting. IMO, these reasons worked against them being granted TRVs of longer validity.
Unfortunately, none of these family members can be indicated as 'family ties' to return home to from a visa perspective.
His mom lives in the US = Not a family tie.
His dad/other family members are not dependent on him financially or for their well-being = Not family ties.
Plane tickets don't improve the chances of a TRV approval.
Hopefully, your friend has included a Letter of Financial Support + bank statement + other financial resources.... from one of his immediate family members.
As the hosts, the financial support of you and your family is secondary. The applicant needs to prove s/he has the financial means to pay for the visit + the airfare.
Greater the financial dependence on the Canadian hosts, the visa officer would be inclined to believe that the applicant has lesser/no financial incentives to return home to.

2. Did he enter on a TRV last year? If yes, what was the validity of that TRV?
3. How was he able to work in the US and in Canada last year?
To be honest, hes starting to get so frustrated and disheartened that I'm not sure he will even answer some of this for me. It's really starting to break him and his Hope's. I'm not sure how long he was in the u.s. or the validity on his visitor visa when he went to visit his mom, and I'm not sure if his finances and such were much different at the time. I believe he had an apartment but got rid of it when he travelled for work. And he worked in canada from June- end of August with the North American Midway Entertainment and they finished the season in the u.s. until November.
And no he hadn't listed anyone as financial support. His mom said she would send money to help with some expenses but his dad isnt involved in his life.
Since they had already reviewed his application and it wasnt immediately denied that's a good sign right?

5 months is a really long wait for a SA application. Sometimes we have no idea what's causing the delay.
There's always light at the end of the tunnel regardless of how long the tunnel is. Don't lose hope. My prayers and best wishes too for a quick decision and the coveted visa in his passport
