Applying for Study Permit as a Spouse of student and on Visitor's Visa

Dear All,

Please help confirm if I can apply for study permit as I have just received an admission from Humber college.

My spouse is currently a full time student too and I have applied for Open work permit online on April 28th which I haven't received till now.

I want to go to school rather than start work....please can I apply for a study permit while on visitor's visa and with my application for open work permit still in process.

I really would love to resume in January 2016.
