Criteria to apply for visitor's visa

Hi.. I am from India.

1) Is it a must that I have a friend or relative in Canada to apply for my visitor's visa.
2) during my visit to Canada, can i apply for an Open work permit.. So that I can stay in the country and work ?
Will employers consider my profile and offer me a job ?

Please advice.

1) No - you do not need to have a friend or family member in Canada.
2) No - you do not qualify for an open work permit. If you want to work, you will need to secure a job offer from an employer in Canada and that employer will need to obtain an approved LMIA. Then you will be able to apply for a closed work permit tied to that specific employer. Generally speaking, most employers aren't willing to go through this process. You should expect it will be extremely difficult / impossible to find a job.
