Hi All,

I have got admission into MBA course at a reputed university in Canada. I do not have any bank deposits to show. I am applying for study loan and most probably I will secure a study loan covering all of my expenses.

Will showing just study loan (No bank deposits) hurt my application? Apart from study loan I can show some property.

Thanks
Parmar

As long as you have other proof that you will have money to support yourself.
I don't think using a possible loan is a good proof that you have a guaranteed money support.

How would CIC know that your loan is guaranteed?
I can tell you that in Canada, not everyone gets a student loan. They need some sort of a work history.
I don't think OSAP / Canadian government student loans are offered to international students since they pay much more in tuition fee as well.

Thanks vonster for quick reply.

I will apply for loan in India and Bank will provide me letter guaranteeing the loan. Actually study loan is listed as 'strongly recommended' in CIC requirements for student visa. But I do not know if they accept study loan as the only funding source.

Did anyone face this situation? Please share any thoughts/information you have..

Thanks,
Parmar

I only have my loan papers too no deposits or anything, but the loan docs are in my parents name, with the amount and the purpose of the loan.
