We are planning to apply for a Quebec Skilled Worker PR and secure more than 63 points (Me & my husband) together without the language test. The CIC website says that the QSW PR applications are accepted only until July 31st, but I am planning to give my French test in September(tht's the next language test date at our place). Can I just submit the application without the language test and send them the results at a later stage?
Thanks.

It is better if you send with the French test. But, you can definitely send your application without the language test scores. They will interview you in French (1 hour). In that 1 hour, they will know how fluent you are.

Also, check the Quebec Immigration websites & the forms to submit:

You should definitely apply now without french before the selection rules are gonna change as you've passed the initial threshold of points. When you receive AOR and your file number, then you can mail your french results with an attached "update form" to make updates to your application. Also, I recommend you rather take TEFAQ than DELF so you'll receive test results in one months; because for DELF results you'll have to wait for around four months.

A.Khan: Thank you very much for the links.
Ievgen: Thanks much for the input about TEFAQ, I didn't know we have to wait for four months for DELF results.

hello all
i applied for Quebec Skilled Worker PR after i got the CSQ in may 2013.
we do not need to send french proficiency tests for federal, it is only needed for CSQ.
does someone believe otherwise? please share

Hi JessJessy,

French proficiency results have to be submitted only for CSQ application. Federal process doesn't require it.
However, it's better to learn as much french as possible just for yourself to adapt better upon arrival to Quebec. Especially if you're planning to practice a profession that is regulated in Quebec.

Could I apply for Quebec as Skilled Worker? How many points do I need and what is the minmum points grid?

Hi luckystar,

Hi luckystar,

Here's the link where you can calculate your points: http://www.canadavisa.com/quebec-skilled-worker-immigration.html

You need a minimum of 49 to submit an application. IELTS scores are counted only for listening and speaking sections. Overall score doesn't matter. According to the profession grid Computer Science gives only 6 points.
It means that you should wait for July 31st to apply as only applicants who have 12-16 points for AOT are eligible under current rules.
