Hi

Here is my situation.

1.Our PR card renewal is in process in a local CIC office.
2.Submitted additinoal documents after receiving 'Determination of Permanent Residency questionnaire(5511b)' from them.
3.Our PR cards expired already.
4.Family is stuck in the home country out of Canada as their PR cards expired already.
5.Now I am going to apply for Travel Document for them in the home country.
6.They have 740+ days in Canada which we can support with lot of Documents confidently.
7.We want the kids to get back to Canada in time before the schools start.

Do you think our Travel Document application will be processed smoothly?
Do you anticipate any issues in getting Travel Document due to the investigation on our PR residency obligation in Canada?

What supportive documentation can I send with Travel Document application to help the process?

Your help is very much appreciated.

It's the same procedure but as long as they have more than 730 days in the five years prior to the PRTD application you shouldn't have a problem.

You should submit the same evidence you submitted to CIC in Canada to support your claim that you meed the PR residency obligation because the visa officer reviewing your application just wants to know if you have - and if you have, she or he will issue the PRTD.

Good luck!
