Hi All,

I am a canadian citizen and my son was born in india 5 months ago. I applied for his canadian citizenship certificate, was approved and about to receive it soon from Canadian Embassy in new delhi, India.
my wife[PR holder] and my son are in india now. To apply for his passport,

Is it better to apply from India or here in canada [I will be going to india in 2 months] ?
If i apply within canada, do they accept the photo's taken in India ?
If i apply from India, i dont have any canadian guarantor living in india at this moment.

Kindly advise on my situation on how/where to apply for my sons passport.

hi, can you tell how did you apply the passport?
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-passports-abroad/child-passport-abroad.html

You'll need to contact the consular section to discuss details. Usually you'll need to either apply for the certificate of citizenship (keep a copy!) or submit it with the passport app direct to the consulate. They'll (usually) issue a temp passport on basis of the citizenship certificate app and proof of parentage.
